I recently bought the Lexus IS 200(J version) for drift purposes only. Considering the Japanese version is quite fast right out of the box, I was wondering what(besides the given drift settings) I should do with this car, like parts, tires and wings wheels and other such things. I've found its easy to drift stock but is I've heard some not-so-good things about the car so....
any Altezza drift lovers want to help?

What? Parts & tires are part of the "drift settings." Considering how much power you have, the weight of the car, and you personal style should determine how your car is set up. Theres no universal all encompasing answer for this question. Tune it how you please, and use whatever tires you feel fits your setup the best for what you want to do.

oh okay heh...
sorry n00b here.

uhh...but to my questions, thanks for the answer, I should've researched a little bit more before making a thread. Just didnt know much about Altezza's so yeah heh...sorry.

Droptop Chck is right, it's down to one's perfrence in car setup (though you prob know that by now...I think...), to be honest though, I haven't had much time with the Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS 200, the only time i bothered to drift an Altezza to be honest was GT3 bone stock (on sims mind you), with some fun. I'd just put on either comfort or economy tires (N2 and N1) on both front and rear (matching, mixing tires is usually not so much a good idea 9/10 times, very few exceptions I can think of), pick a track you're comfortable with or tests the limits of a car and go from there, buying the parts you need and turing the car to your heart's desire and purpose.

It takes a while, I'd try and just go bone stock for a while since a number of cars in GT4 are driftable bone stock, aside from N1 or N2 tires. Just keep at it for a while and well... you'll get to it.

Till later...

Thanks DTC. That'll about do it.
