Sorry guys but looking everywhere and cannot find answers so bear with me.

- How do you get replays you have saved from the library to Youtube?

- Why is my library empty on the GTS website when i login?

- I see folks talk about SR and DR points and they lost some here and gained some there, where do you see this?? Cannot find it to save my life either in the game or on the website.

- The post race photos, where are they saved? I cannot find them.

Any help apprereciated, thanks.

You have to record the replay first with the standard video capture accessed with the share button. Then you can trim it, edit it in share factory and upload to you tube. Easier to just save the video right after the race, which will also retain all gap data and penalty info. However if you want to track other players or have different viewing angles you have to record it from the replay as it is playing.

No clue why the library is empty on the GTS website.

Enter your psn ID here http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=search
That will give you all your info including SR and DR.

Alternatively you can sign up here
https://www.jasonguernsey.net/gts/
For more detailed information and it will start tracking all your races.

The post race photos are fake, you have to take the screenshot yourself.

THanks!

To clear something up, yes I saved replays right after the race, they are there in the game but not when i login to the GTS site and I am lost as to how to get it to youtube

I think you have to share the photos before they come up on the website? Ive saved a few in game but the only one on the website is of a 919 that i shared

Access the replay in game and play it. Record the replay using the share button like you'd normally record gameplay. Open the recording in share factory and trim/edit/add music etc. Share directly from the console to YouTube.

I will have to give this a try myself. I have never monkeyed around with any of the aforementioned gadgets.

quiet voice ...... what's Share Factory? 💡

It's a free app for ps4 to edit videos.
https://store.playstation.com/en-ca/product/IP9100-CUSA00572_00-SFRELE0000000100
Just search for ShareFactory (one word) in the psn store.

You don't need it through. You can trim and upload videos directly from the videos folder.

And yeah, you have to share fotos and replays before they show up on the website. However you can't do anything with the replays on the website afaik, except share the link. For example: https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gts...allery/all/replay/1495257/4611699219077531160
Then someone else can click add to library and play it on their ps4.

To make a you tube video out of it you'll have to record it while playing the replay on your ps4.

Please help me understand. When I save a race replay is it not recorded??? If I play back that race replay and record it while playing does it go to a different place on my PS4???? These steps seem very odd to an uneducated and rather slow member of the human race like me. :dunce::dunce::dunce::dunce:
At the risk of repeating myself, I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer.:confused::confused::confused::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

No, it's saved as a replay file with GT Sport. A replay file has no video content, just telemetry.

Yes, it goes to your PS4's Capture Gallery.
If you mean "dumbass", say "dumbass". You'll soon spot if a word is censored, by the way it's censored. You'll also spot that words which are censored are fully censored. Partially censoring a word is neither use nor ornament, and may get you a warning for attempting to bypass the censor.

I'm as lost as you are.

I think in the end I can ignore everything except "record it as I watch it" . Record it how? With what?

Read this https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/how-to-record-gameplay-on-a-ps4/

It goes to your capture gallery on the main menu bar or find it in the library.

On a sort of related note (but with less profanities), is there an in-game way of saving replays from online Sport races once the race is over? I've had a few close races in the past that I'd have liked to have saved but never got the option to do so, and using the Share feature is fine if the race was a short one but the longer ones sometimes get cut short using the console Share feature.

The option to save the replay is in the top left menu at the result screen after a sport race. You can also increase the length of the video clips the share feature makes.

Thanks for the info :)

Ok so i figured out how to record with the double tap :)

Quality is poor though so i must need to go in and make a settings change i suspect, because I see a million GTS videos on youtube in HD.

I have about 15 replays saved so I need to watch them all, record them then download them.

Why is it so clunky? It's 2018, surely i can just select the replays and send them to youtube in this day and age, what's the technical blockage here preventing that?

Because a replay file is not a video file. The replay file is just a series of instructions that only GTS can understand. If you want to put your replay onto a video service, like Youtube, then you have to make it into a video, which your PS4 can help you do.

It's certainly a hell of a lot easier now than it used to be.

Just a heads up, you need a ps4 pro to record in 1080p. The base model is limited to 720p video capture.

You tube is just a huge storage dump. it can't play anything but pre recorded videos. What you're asking is why can't I just upload my save game to see my game play. The replay you're saving is just a save game with the telemetry from the cars, no video. You tube has some limited editing options nowadays yet it takes ages to get it to update. You are better off deleting the video and re-uploading a fixed version instead of trying to edit on the you tube website.

It's a free service, can't expect much more.

In the future when ps now takes over and consoles are a relic of the past you'll get your wish :/

Thanks for the recording info and link, Sven.
Isn't PS a console?? I guess I dont really understand your last comment. I just got my PS4Pro for Xmas from my wife specifically for Gran Turismo, beside 1 or 2 F1 games that's all I have ever played on all my PS's so I'm way behind on what they are capable of. I wish the games came with a paper manual, to me it is easier to quickly scan thru paper pages to find something than it is on a computer screen.

My recordings don't look like 720p. They are blurry on a cell phone. It looks very low Res.

Uploaded to youtube but they are taking up to two days to process the video.

I got it to work once, but haven't been able to repeat the process since :boggled::lol:. This thread will definitely help though. As always :gtpflag:comes through again 👍

This simply cannot be this difficult.

So i double hit SHARE and get the little red dot confirming recording starts but it seems to randomly stop without any notification. I THINK, really not sure but THINK, it stops if you hit the '0' button which I do if playing with the replay. You have no idea if it's recording or not, none, or when it stops .. .so frustrating.

Even if the above works, I got to Capture Gallery and highlight the video, press SHARE once and share to youtube. However, it ALWAYS grabs the latest file, with fail, and i am sure i select the right file.

My resolution dreadful, i must be doing something wrong. here's a link ....

So annoying, there has to be an easier way.

Weird, when i view the vid through this site it looks way better but when i go to my YT account it looks rubbish. No res issue then, seems fine.

That video is limited to 720p

If you have a ps4 pro, go to share settings and set the recording resolution to 1080p. Also make sure the recording time is long enough otherwise it will automatically cut off after 15 minutes. (Or even less, dunno what the default is)

It should only start and stop with double tap of the share button. It's actually always recording, yet with double tap you set a new start point and then it saves that portion when you double tap again. Norrmally you can just open the share menu, select share video and wait until it says video saved and then you can cancel to trim it first. It's a bit more foolproof then remembering if your last double tap was a start or save point.

Yeah 720 is fine, what I was seeing was horrible, looked like 480 AT BEST. But that's through my youtube account, watching it from the link here it's good. Go figure.

Recording definitely fails at times, i have no idea if it's working. I get the red dot flashing then ... no idea. I think it bails if you hit 0.

I don't tell my PS4 to start recording at any point. I do my race, then when the results are up, I press share, then square to save the replay. I then trim it from the capture gallery.

Hello!

This sounds more like it.

So hang on, you press share once and it knows to save the entire race replay?

No, it saves the amount of time you have it set for, in my case that's the default 15 minutes.

You then find the replay in the capture gallery, press option, and trim it to the race.

It's not brilliant but I found that much easier than manually starting the recording of the replay.
