A Few Niggles

So I bought a Honda Civic recently, and things have been going great.

Suddenly, front left tyre comes off the rim while driving. I bought a new tyre which is on the same wheel as the one which had the accident, so my wheels are matching. But, ever since then I've noticed that the car has been becoming very light at the front. First it was the clutch pedal, now it's the accelerator. And with the new tyre on the wheel which was in the blowout, the steering has gone very light indeed and there's steering vibration at 70mph/130kph.

The car passed its MOT with flying colours just a week ago, after all these things started happening, but I can't help but think there's something wrong with the front left. So, I shouldn't be worried but if I have a blowout on the dual carriageway or motorway, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Should I get my car looked at again, specifying the steering vibration and front left? I obviously don't want to get shafted by a mechanic once I tell him I already think there's a problem though....

I'd get your tracking looked at at a tyre place, that sounds like the must likely culprit. The vibration could be down to a balancing weight falling off, so i'd get that looked at too. Also tyre pressures can alter how the steering feels. Too little pressure and the steering will feel heavy, too much and it will feel light. Maybe you've just become accustomed to driving your car with low tyre pressure and the new tyre at a correct pressure is making the difference?
