Actually this idea doesn't really eliminate grinding, but I think it would make it more fun.

For each race series in A-Spec that you've golded, an "Elite" level race is unlocked. It's the same race again, but this time with tire and weight (and other) restrictions.

The AI would drive at the "most difficult" setting, cut track would result in penalties like it does online.

Each of these races would pay out $100K+ and high experience points. There would still be a mathematically most profitable race, but it wouldn't be much higher than any of the other races. This way you've got all of A-Spec to choose from when you want to "grind". Except that it wouldn't be grinding anymore, it would be enjoyable, challenging gameplay. It would stop being all about money, and become all about driving and tuning.

It would be like this anyway if people matched their cars more evenly, instead of taking a far superior car to every race.

Not really fun though lol

Running Indy over and over again is more fun? No racing game with money/credits has really solved the grinding issue. It can a singular and monotonous activity, or it can be a wide variety of things that can all be different and interesting.

Anyway, my idea doesn't really require much in the way of content development from Polyphony, just some interface work, really.

Well there's not much incentive to do that, especially for low-paying A-Spec races. I'm trying to change that.

I for one love your idea. I would love some more interesting racing on a-spec. Sounds like a good idea in my book.
