Well then. In this case the damn cup just burned..

Well actually, water boils at 100 Celsius.. and plastic cups melt at 190 centigrade. So if it was at a halfway mark, that means we must have a full (melted) cup...

They'd release an update that removes the online features and seasonal events, like how the community features disappeared, and will return in a further update when they feel satisfied that everything reaches their level of standards.

The update to return the online features would be back "soon", hopefully before the servers get shutdown for good.

Seriously guys, if PD were thinking of setting up & running their own forum, it would be a great opportunity for them to get directly involved with their loyal fanbase. That was what I was hoping we'd discuss in this thread; the potential of of it. Instead it's just turning into another PD bash fest!

Think about if they did have their own forum, & set up ways for us to give them constructive criticism. I know there are loads of people who's immediate reaction is "they'd never do that", but what if they did? What if they are actually in the process right now of building a forum for www.granturismo.com? Can you at least see the potential of it?

I just had a look at the link, and I'm not being silly here but, that forum seems to be broken more than a little bit...

Unsuccessfully trying to open a thread called "no new DLC track and..." which strangely only has six replies, is that weird or is it just me?

It's not just you.
Since the general refreshment (can't believe I'm using that term for official Sony forums) they did there it became even more unuseable. It looks like (use your favourite bad word here) and posting there is a pain in the ass, not to mention the structure and overall "design".
If that's the place for PDs announced community features, it died already.
