Be sure to go into options and turn up the force feedback!! standard is 5 in a scale of 1-10. the difference is PHENOMENAL! the way the road surface talks to you with the heavy FFB is so worth the tired arms! fantastic.

:)

I actually turn mine down to 4 with my G25, I get plenty of feedback and I don't have to fight with the wheel when I need a quick correction.

Vipergtsr hmm if your name is any clue to what your driving Id say you are probably going to need that counter-steer :sly:

Its all up to personal preference of course, but for that terminated power steering feel, its great, although the return isnt nearly as rapid as it should be.
but something to try anyway. :)

Its a matter of personal preference. Making the FFB harder is more unrealistic than the default setting when you are dealing with most passenger cars, except may be for the tuned cars and the F1 and the F40.

In theory the game should adjust the FFB depends on the car, but is GT5P coded to do that. I am not sure.

I do the same with my G25, too bad the FFB still feels like a dead fish wiggling in your hands, I hope an update for it comes soon.
👍

I keep mine set at 10. It feels like a much more realistic weight. You SHOULD have to fight to make a quick correction, like in real life.

What wheel do you use?

I can feel my G25 heating up fast and gears wear out quickly with high FFB, really this force feed back should be smoother, and yes you should have to fight with it but not like this, if you've driven a real car the response is completely different.

I agree, set to 10, it's the best way to compensate the lack of real G-force information.

Ed. Turn off power assist and active steering for better feedback.

quick question for you wheel guys

When GT4 first came out I bought the DFP but quickly returned it because it felt to stiff when turning at any speeds & when it fought back it felt real slow it just didn't feel realistic & also like all steering systems except the g25 the peddles were garbage is the DFGT better in the aspects I mentioned I would get the g25 but I'd rather get another Ps3

I use the DFP. After 6 hours of straight racing at 10 FFB it's just a little warm.

I have a G25, and I put it to 10, I dont feel the strenght.. I don't know why people say its that STRONG.
Over PC gaming sims, its strong. But on GT is bit weaker, but I think it's spot on with settings 7-10 almost like riding a real car.

Personally mine is set to 7 because that is what i am most comfortable with. If you had it at 10 and use a variety of cars then i think you will feel different strengths

Having said that, does anyone else notice the wheel FFB with the F2007? Seems so much stiffer to me verses other cars.

You SHOULD have to fight to make a quick correction, like in real life.

I drive drive/have driven lots of cars hard in real life and never at speed do I really have to fight with heavy resistance with the wheel when making corrections during oversteer, this is with both power and non powersteer cars. During heavy oversteer you do need to be quick with the wheel and that takes some effort but the wheel resistance to turn is not strong.

Frankly much of the reason I have the FFB down is because I don't like the sound it makes and the heat when heavy countersteering while drifting, so I turned it down and got adjusted to it. I used to have it at 7 or 8.

I was really wondering about this. What is the most "realistic" FF setting for the DFP?

I used to have it set low to 1. IRL my car has power steering and fighting the wheel doesn't feel natural to me.

I moved it back up to 5 because I couldn't feel when I was turning too sharply for my speed.

Are real cars hard to steer? Can you or would you turn off power steering in most of these cars?
