Absolutely STUPID music, but great footage of the car in motion.

For those who don't really know, the Aerotech was a concept car powered by a turbocharged version of Oldsmobile's "Quad Four." There were two versions: this is the short tail, and there was also a long tail version. That one, I think, now has an Olds Aurora V8 in it. I have a Matchbox model of this version...I wish Olds had modified it for Group C...

Yeah, the Quad 4, especially the W41 series that GM made was a beast.
This engine is so unrecognized in the industry but for those in the know, one of the best engines to come out in the 4 cylinder world.
Before the B16, K20, or B18C engines that Honda is so noted for, the Quad 4 was quietly setting records way before Honda engines ever became popular.
With 190 crank hp and 170 lb ft of torque, the engine (W41) was more than capable to handle what GM had for it's purpose.
Too bad GM hadn't taken into consideration the high compression engine would blow head gaskets, develop cracks in the head between the exaust valves, and otherwise have their engine called unreliable.
More than ahead of it's time, this engine will always be remembered by those that were quad enthusiasts.
I have a quad 4 in my car and with 11.5:1 compression pistons, the W41 cams, and HPtuners, should yield 200+ whp with no problems once I'm done building this engine.

Thanks for the video, it brought back memories.
I also thought I'd post up because it was a dead topic. :D
