Meant Photomode
It seems the runway outside Red Bull Hangar 7 was supposed to function as a real track. Many mistakenly claimed that it was the Top Gear course but anyone can see that the Top Gear course never had a lighted straightaway. It was likely another feature removed to save memory.

Can be seen 01:47 of the 2009 E3 trailer as well as the photo mode right outside of Red Bull Hangar 7.

I think you are right. Im not sure about the reason why it didnt make the final version, but i didnt think it was the top gear test track at the time.

That link doesn't show anything, it took me to a Youtube video called "Pokemon~If only tears could bring you back(lyrics)"

I already said this lastnight in the track master list thread. The X1 intro video was made using it. AS well as several other promo pieces.

I chalk this up to PD being the game designers and allowing things for the purposes of demos that aren't in the full game. We've seen cars moving in Photo Travel locations, and we've also seen images with more than one car in a Photo Travel location, and far, far more than 16 on a track (the Top Gear image). Some of the Photomode images given to us pre-release used camera angles that just aren't available in the final game either.

We've also lost the mystery Mini from earlier demos (it seemed to have some visual modifications, which aren't possible on either Premium Mini in-game).

Or much like other things that we've found out so far, much more is still to come down the road.

Good points, even in the intro it seems like theres more NASCAR stock cars than in the game as well.

I don't think it's online. I'll keep looking, if I can't find it I hook up my HDPVR when I get home from work tomorrow. But yes, the intro video does show the X2010 racing on the redbull runway track.

I don't think that's meant to be a racetrack at all. Those lights remind me of a runway, and given that the hangar is loaded with aeroplanes ... besides, it's way too narrow to be a circuit, since you can only have two cars side by side for the entire length.

It looks to me like it would be a drag strip if it were included in the game.

I remember a bit of video with a 787B racing on a runway very similar to that one. It IS possible that they intended to use the runway as a drag strip. It would have been nice, we've never really gotten a true drag strip in any gt game, and there is no place for real top speed testing in gt5.
