This is in the sense for it giving you a penalty for hitting a wall. I've noticed it only gives you a penalty for hitting the wall with the front end of your car. If you hit it with the rear it dosen't give you a penalty.
sliding the cars around the corners so your butt hits the wall works wonders for most... tho you do loose alot of speed when doing it. use your emergancy brake most of all... the hard races may require you to change your technique allittle.
Using the tag-the-wall-with-the-rear-bumper "technique", implemented through the application of the Scandinavian Flick, allows you to take about three-quarters of the Chamonix track at continuous full-throttle, without ever lifting off.
Using the above cheap-ass ploy with the Super Evo, I won Chamonix Hard Reverse by over 25 seconds, as I recall.
