...I will be honoured to close the door of the rally races.
Hey Sjaak, don't underestimate me so much.
I'm one of the best dust-eaters around ;)
I suggest the following : you'll be last on one dirt track and I'll be last on the other one.

PS :
Your sentence was perfectly clear to me, so it's probably not thinking 'dutch' which matters, but rather foreign-thinking.

or maybe it's just Ron thats as thick as pig $hit :dopey: :dopey: :dopey: :dunce:

:D

Well then that make two of us Ron ;)

flat-out

Great. I'll take one of the tarmacs then. Cyril is a pure speed devil at AH II :scared:

Also maked pefectly sence to me. We got the same expression in Danish:
Sidste mand lukker og slukker.
Last man close (the door) and turn off (the light).
Makes it's more of a continental thing and leave the Brits as the foreigners.

But now stop chatting and start racing. I'm getting lonely in my last place. ;)

I have a trick : I just close my eyes and cross my fingers ;)
Do you guys start practising before the series officialy starts ?
That's what I understand when I read some posts here.

Practice is advised 👍 and there's no fears that anyone can run their races upfront ( apart from me that is :dopey: ) as no-one else knows how many laps each round will be until I post them 👍 .... unless someone wants to run every possible combo in advance :dunce:
But! ... all in all testing the cars on both dirt and tar is advised so as you can get a rough idea which car will perform the best for you over all 4 rounds ;)

Good luck in your car choices :)

Shall we do that testing on the dirt all alone in egocentric solitude?
Or do you have plans for another of your catchy social open-leaderboard Warm Up Races? :)

Well to be honest I had no plans for a warm up dirt race ... but If you guys would like one of my catchy social open-leaderboard Warm Up Rally Races :sly: ... just gimme a nod and I'll suggest another course ( Dirt this time ) to see us through until Jan15th 👍

No problemino :dopey: 👍

:nodding like a nut: :D

It would be shame if this ARC would end up with more Tarmac than Dirt races, right? :scared:

I don't know if GT4 can extract me for this

But I can't lose me all this fun :trouble:

"Lord of the wheels unplugged"

Welcome back Barbol 👍

well, count me in, though my rally racing skills are way below my tar skills, i might not be too bad on the road, but rally :(. however i will put in my best and see what happens.

Sounds fun Mr P

Welcome aboard Small_Fryz 👍

Welcome back Werner 👍

Hi erm, noob here, more or less.

Just a few questions:
  • Is it too late to join?
  • Is this only for the extreme, I mean the best pro drivers on the net? I´ve seen some familiar names on the list.
  • What does ARC stand for?
  • Is it any car in the arcade mode, or are there some that are excluded?
[/list]

Just like to take this opportunity to appologise for my corny, unoriginal name, it´s just been with me for years!

No you can still join 👍

Yes a few drivers are familiar and great racers! but this comp is open to all comers :)

Originally A.R.C#1 was the Arcade Rally Challenge and all races were on dirt courses with Arcade Rally Cars ... but It was suggested to run A.R.C#2 with some Tar races also, so I introduced a new method for the comp whilst still running Rally cars only.
I found the best way to do this was to run every dirt round with the Arcade rally car and Tar races using the SIM version Rally car with no upgrades but settings adjustments being optional ... It was a great success and this A.R.C#3 is just based on the same rules as the 2ND A.R.C

There is 10 Rally cars available in Arcade mode and these are the only cars available to use in Sim mode also.
The Toyota Celica Rally car is not available in Arcade mode and is not available to use in this comp :)

I hope that clears things up for you 👍 feel free to sign up as the comp starts on Saturday January 15th .... also the 2 warm up races are still open if you feel like warming up :)
