Just a random thought, but wouldn't it be cool if Bob could be in the same races as yourself, effectively giving you a teammate. This could also allow you to earn money faster, and get two types of XP in one race. Just a ransom thought.

I doubt the PS3 CPU could handle the load of calculating Bob's immense driving AI at the same time as handling your driving input.

Nothing unique about this - Forza1 can do this.

This is one part of the Forza franchise that Dan Groenewald stupidly tossed aside - The Drivatar. (I recall reading an article years and years ago about how the original AI Drivatar experiment is how Microsoft came to be involved in Forza from the get go - it was a British team of programmers that did the Drivatar programming I seem to recall - brilliant chaps they where as well).

You could train your drivatar in FM1 and then load him up and race as track day bots with certain cars, race agains your friends drivatars etc.

PD would do well to include the ability to load up a bunch of B-Spec Bobs in a track day style scenario with cars of our choosing.

Hell even Enthusia could do that - custom car lineups for trackdays.

GT5 is no longer breakign new ground, all they have left is "HD Graphics", and event that they are not pulling off very well.

Like in GRID? yeah I'd love that, maybe also creating your own team!

LOL, sarcasm?

lol has to be, Bobs AI could probably be comfortably proccesed by a 80's Casio watch.

But yea that would be a great idea. Vs your B spec driver, maybe they could even make it like forza 1 and have your AI driver learn from your driving style.

Having your Bob with you while racing would be pretty awesome, if they improved the AI a little so that he's A) able to race on his own B) he'd be able to fulfill more advanced orders like 'block that guy behind us' and the like.

That'd be really nice.

You know, I'm just waiting for the first fanboy to pop in here to tell us that having a team mate would be arcadish :sly:

When bob is either one spot ahead or behind you, you can give him the secret "attack nearest opponent" 5th command

Yea I know.... but who cares the best thing in GRID imho was that, I loved the idea of having a team mate racing with me (even if he wasn't so much a better driver than gt5 bob to be honest...)

Yeah, I am getting a little sick of the people who want to make the game impossible to play.

lol, Casio. As a man who went through the pains of Computer Science in college, and did an AI project for my final year, its easily the most disappointing aspect of the game for me. After so long in development I had envisioned A-Spec and B-Spec being loaded with new features.but I realised that GT was never about racing, its just about driving, PD/Kaz seem obsessed with the driving experience, often at the cost of other aspects of the game
