I disagree, if you're truly puzzled with the spelling of a certain word, you might as well just look it up (for future reference as well).

Do you really think that people are going to do that though? As long as the offenders are making some effort to improve their spelling/grammar, I'll be happy. edit: Forgot a period. Oh, the irony.

Yeah. They'll think you're an arrogant, stuck-up bastard like me.

You know, I've never heard much flack for the spelling-error-laden posts I type; maybe it's the use of big words and the proper use of the semi-colon that make me appear more erudite than a few others around here.

There is a little too much bickering around here. I have noticed that the quality of information is far more important than the quantity of it.

With that said, Trampio!

Was that just a completely random interjection? I fail to see how that justifies the assertion that the bickering that is occuring is extraneous.

I have sometimes a hard time trying to say some things... I consider english my second language, but Im still missing some things. being at this kind of forums has helped me a lot, and I think that Im still learning... for example, I know I dont use correctly loose and lose, as someone pointed pout before, but I think that if any of you correct this kinda thing, it will only help me. also, I have this thing with "kinda, shoulda, lezee" and stuff like "dat" ( -__- damn) but I dont know if its really that pissing if I use it... I dont even know if I used the word "pissing" correctly or if im just inventing a word right now. But I guess Ill find out soon ^^

anyway I also dont like that kind of posts where peiIple abreviate and over use those kind of things. it looks... I dont know... heh... bad. like a child. a small one, at that.
and, on to another thing, do you think im good at english, at least?

EDIT: heh. I highlighted my "finger mistakes"... even as I checked the post, these two passed me by. well, its two in the morning... im sleepy - . -

Better than 90% of the people here who use English as their first language.👍

Your posts may not be 100% correct(I doubt anyone's are), but at least we can tell what the hell it is you're saying with ease.

Really? I keep thinking they're all idiots. Hmm.

I won't give you a bad time about your spelling or grammar. My wife and one of my kids is dyslexic. I'm used to it as I used to type my wife's papers when we were in college.
But I will rake you bad, if your mind is closed and then vacuum sealed, if you insult somebody for no good reason, or if you start wishing bad things on folks just cause they're speaking their minds.

If you look at most of my posts, you will see "edited by Gil on such and such date and time." That's usually because I find a typo, tense error, or grammatical error, and I go back to correct it.
But I don't hold anyone to the same standards that I hold myself to.
I can fix my mistakes.
You have to fix your own. You can ask for advice and such, but ultimately you have to police you.
