A Solution to the 1,000,000 cr. limit

Indeed. The trade cap makes it nearly impossible to churn out large amounts of cars, but doesn't penalize "honest" traders, while the gift limit hurts everyone.

Another case of throwing out the baby with the bathwater... as what happened when they removed restrictions completely from the Seasonals... then locked "SRF" on, to boot.

Very strange... but I see the 1.07 restrictions as being temporary, while they figure out a way to lock cars to accounts or overhaul the gifting system into a full-on trading system.

Could it be that PD just wanted to eliminate the trading of cars via eBay?

I was disappointed in this game to begin with, compared with Forza 3. There should be some kind of in game ebay where people can sell and buy cars just like Forza has, but now this patch. What do think it's going to do besides stop people from playing it all together? I have to agree that it will go back to the way it was before because there are thousands of people on the official website complaining now and talking about trading the game tomorrow. All I have to say is im glad Forza 4 is coming out in a few months. Im trading this **** in tomorrow before the value drops to nothing!!!!!!!!!!

Better yet, why couldn't they do live trade in the first place (i.e. both sides prepare and show what's there to trade and as they both accept, it goes through). But the whole point was that it wasn't for the scummers but to cut cloning cars short...

like in diablo 2

I guess the tickets will be the most valuable trading items going forward. Level 21 and 24, 1000 Ticket, and the Birthday tickets. These are the only way I see being able to get cars worth more than a mill.
Pretty much requires a second account. Get the same ticket in both accounts. Use the ticket in the main account, if you get a car you want, just send the ticket from the second account and dupe it back in to the second account.
If you don't get the car you want, go back and reload your last save data, and try again.
I guess the people with the birthday tickets will make a few new friends )

Not a total solution, but better than nothing

there's a cars above 1.000.000 cr I want it but I don't want pay on it because graphics looks very bad on it , in my opinion it should be spacial cars you can't trade like X1 or classic race cars ...etc

Regarding Ebay .. Why didn't PD contact them and state that the item being sold can only be sent via the internet , Ebay has a clause i believe that goods cannot be sold via email or internet and that it has to be a physical item and posted ? Or am i wrong ? Selling "gift cars" could possibly come under some legal statue as the goods are licenced to PD and such you are profiting from selling licenced goods. By all means you can send them for free, but you can't sell them should have been PD's response.But i am no legal eagle so i could be way off the mark.

People should be allowed to play the game any damn way they want.

People need to realize that no one way is correct. If you want to play one way, that's cool, it works for you, if you want to play a different way, same thing.

Duping isn't the issue here. This update RUINS a large aspect of the game for the people who just want to trade cars. I was in talks with a guy to trade my FGT for his Redbull. Now, we can't. That's unfair, and bs.

To be honest, I have no problem with Dupers. they should be able to play the damn game the way they want, it's not hurting me if they decide to play that way.

It's this holier then thou attitude that some gamers (and apparently PD) has that you HAVE to play under these confines. And they're willing to remove legitimate features from the game and add insane limitations to enforce it.

That's not what games are about. that's not in the spirit of gaming, in my eyes.

Why is duping such a big deal? i mean, if some guy gets more enjoyment from his $70 if he dupes, then what's wrong with that? Nothing. It's just his style of play. It's what he enjoys.

I trade because i don't have time to do the crazy Endurance races. I may not have the skill to do some of the other races. The beauty of the game was that it allowed me to trade my cars, for cars i otherwise couldn't get.

Sure, people duped, and some bitch that it "ruined the game" but that's BS. it didn't ruin the game one bit. They dupe, it doesn't affect you. If you don't like it, don't do it. If they like it, they can do it. It doesn't seem to have ruined the game for them. It's personal preference. And nobody can claim one way is better overall.

That's why this update pisses me off. It ruins the game for EVERYBODY!

This is a terrible move by PD, and it has greatly decreased my interest in this game. And i have lost a lot of respect for PD. Unless they come up with a logical solution, or just let people play how they want, I can't in good conscience support them in the future.

Do you have every car in the game then?

It will take days of solid gameplay that will kill most people's "old model" PS3s just to get the money to buy one or two 10mil+ cars.

My PS3 was strained at doing the 24hour b-spec race... it was really not wanting to be left on for a day.

They're fixing the WRONG problems... there are plenty of massive problems in this game, gifting is a tiny tiny tiny problem compared to saving during endurance races, texture rendering problems, exp/money amount problems and tuning (which they only just solved with the 1.05).

And the smoke from tyres still pixellates you car,not to mention the completely brainless AI.If forza could sort these out on release why cant GT fix them in an update.

Well, it's definitely going to reduce my enjoyment...

I have only traded 5 times before giving up (due to X2010's taking over the trade area on here). Agree that is a down-side to duping.

Instead I started duping 1 car per day for myself only (ie not losing the money & not trading - a user created function) as it allowed me to play with a new car every day without repetative grinding.

The result WAS that I'd ENJOY playing for 2+ years to complete my garage experiencing a new car every day to complete my garage.

Now I'll spend a week+ getting money (by grinding) just to get a new car to play with. Not what GT5 should be about - it's a driving game not a grinding RPG game.

Not a good change as I've yet to get most of the expensive cars & can't imagine I'll ever complete my garage / experience every car...

PD needs to add trading like we see it in Forza.. That way we might be able to sell our double cars.. like, I don't need two 'standard' X2010's. Just one is enough next to the Vettel and Carbon thing.. (Silver vettel + lvl 35 B-spec for example, gives two standard X2010's.)

That's right, there's a kind of ebay where you can put down your price, and the buy out price. It's working fantastic. i don't see why PD can't do it.. However duping is afaik impossible with forza3 and you'll just lose all your stuff wjhen the save game gets corrupt..

Very good point. PD should increase the salevalue of the cars. The way it runs now is way off.

Another thing they're missing is pitting without taking tires.

Yes a splash and go would have been a great idea.Or the ability to change front or back or left or right tires.With full damage on you might get a flat rear and there is no need to change all 4.
