A-Spec Endurance glitch or luck?

Ok guys so yesterday I was doing some endurance to grind some XP points. I decided to do the 4hr at the Nurb. I took a camaro ss non rm just to keep racing tight and have fun since I have to race 4hr no matter what. Well on the 3rd lap my tires were a little down and I got on the gas early and lost it in the carousel turn and spun. Well the car behind me just stops behind me and won't pass, then the car behind him stops also so I decided to just sit there and see what happens. Well all the cars came around and I basically just cause a big traffic jam and no one would pass. Welp I just flipped back to the tv and bam 3 hours last flipped back, finished my lap and won the race. I have not been able to get them to stop again and I have tried blocking them and everything else. Maybe I just got lucky?
 
Hopefully someone can figure out how to duplicate it so I can just go out and park for 8hr a day to lv40 lol. So many races ugh!
 
The Tank car is a good candidate to block others but you have to be in front to take advantage of this glitch and the Tank car is sooooo slow!

Think you could hold em off until the carousel lol? What about the big stormtropper suv, you could probably hold the ai off with it then park and wait. It would be real nice to have a sort of endurance hack because this is a retarded amount of driving to get to 40.
 
HA did it again! Took camaro ss out again. Get a little lead then stop on the uphill and wait for AI. Go about halfway up the hill where the road looks like it pinches together and let the ai behind you just run into you. Slowly drive up to carousel and stop before you enter it right in the middle of the road. The Ai will stop then pile up and traffic jam and won't pass. Wait 4hr finish the lap and win all the xp etc. Ah the joys of flawed gaming. It took me a few times again to get them to stop I just restarted until I got them stopped on lap 1. Cheers!

Damn never even thought about the 24hr. Wonder if the track has same glitch or if it is an ai glitch? Since the 4 and 24 are on different tracks. I don't have it unlocked on either side yet. 39 b-spec tho almost!
 
Without just videoing my tv with my phone I don't really have a way....but I can do that it will just look crappy lol.
 
That is too funny. Good idea to avoid taking excessive mileage 👍

You could've tried holding e-brake for 1 second and I believe it would lock just like it would in a real car.

Great discovery there, much kudos to you sir for this "exposition". But is it only the Camaro? Did you find choke-points on any other track yet? And, don't you get xp for every lap you complete? Or is it different for the timed races?

Well the e-brake hold won't work, as soon as they bump you again it will release your e-brake and your car will roll out of the way lol.

Nope no other "discoveries", if I had been properly driving I would not have discovered this one lol.

I tried a few other cars earlier with no avail, but I don't see it locked to a certain car, more getting them to stop at the right time.

Well I ran 3 laps eariler yesterday and won and got the same credits for 29 laps, xp I am not 100% sure on because I didn't see my value for beating it the frist time. I will take a note when this one is done. Hopefully its the full monty still.
 
Ihave noticed a couple of cars stop when rejoining the track to give me way which supprised me in gt as i didn't thingk it was in the code, this does happen alot in codemasters racing games due to the better ai.

So maybe there is a code for you having the right of way incase of a spin?

I can't seem to get it to work. Is there anyway you could post a picture of the positioning of the car?

I am going to video it and post. Like I said to I can't get it to do it everytime. I have did it 2 times in probably 15 attempts now.
 
Just to let you know, I tried the trick on the 4h Mazda Roadster endurance and it, sort of, worked. To do it you have to be at least 1 lap ahead of everyone, since the AI drivers seem to give more "respect" and be less agressive against oponent that they cannot race against directly atm. I believe it was second corner (after the slight S sequence). Front of the car should be towards the inside of the corner. It worked up to the moment when the last driver crashed into the crowd, moving me out of the way and letting others keep going. Try exits out of tight and blind corners. For Nurburgring, Carussel works a treat imho, because the inside is just wide enough for 1 car and AI would rather wait than go on the outside (I don't even think "they" acknowledge existence of the outside bit on this one).
 
Tried it 2times but no luck. Did not have a lap advance when i did it. The AI backed up and went around (on top of carousel)
 
I was reading through these posts and I was confused when u said just leave it for 4hrs. Then I realized it was a timed race. Lol. I'll have to try that when I get there.

Question: do you have to finish the lap or does it end right there in the carousel?
