Easy win my '61 Jag XKE. Don't know where the tune came from. Had to do some tweaking on a practice lap. 500PP and based on how far ahead I was I need to be looking for another car. I just love the exhaust note from the XKE. Since I won a Jag in the expert race Me thinks I'll try this in a brand new stock XKE.

I dragged the Marcos up the M1 from the Big Smoke and hit the track, losing 1pp after the city race.

Turns out to be a bit of an easier race than the Beginner and I expect I still would have easily won with CS.

Dug out the Merc 300sl for this one . Not too much of a challenge , but going to see how low I can go with the pp . But the first step will be going down to comfort tyres .

I love this little car. I found it watching a YouTube video about cars with the most customization. Found a good tune and that was that. I ran it at 530 PP because of the flipped transmission being as my FG was 2.067. 120 MPH is as fast as it would go. The Lancia Stratos was the rabbit. I will buy one and see what I can do with it. I think the Stratos was among the hardest cars to tame in Gran Turismo.

Used a 365gtb/4 daytona. Obviously a 530pp 4.4 liter v12 makes short work of this long track.

I went into this race blind and didnt realise it would be full of 4 cyl. older Euro cars... I thought it'd be all US muscle cars.

I ran this a couple of times today. One thing for sure these AI car do not have 530 PP. When I can use a 450 PP car and win by over 10 seconds something is missing. The London race is harder than this. I used the '73 Lancia Stratos with a @praiano63 tune finished 17 seconds over P2. I bought a '70, model Toyota Celica with 474 PP and won by over 10 seconds even after spinning out and hitting the wall. So what is the lowest PP that anyone has used to make this a more competitive race?

Edit: Well since I was the last post I'll post my last race. I found a clown car and ran it 455 PP thinks since the Dino was the rabbit I might need the other 5 PP. My own tune. I just lollygagged around the track. I'd let the Dino get close and then run away. I let the dino pass once and then got behind him and pushed him down the long straight way faster than he wanted. The payout is OK so I think I'll play here for a while. I don't like Silverstone as a track but monkeying around with the AI had me laughing to myself.

Edit II: Man....this way too long of a track for these underpowered cars. I can't decide which is the fastest rabbit but my vote goes to the Dino, but the Stratos ain't got no slack either. This pre '79 thing has left me little to choose from. I ran my 510 @ 450 PP and it still took over 10 minutes to run this race. Next was the 280 Z at 430 PP. I ran the Alfa Spider @ 440 PP but my controller hit the floor when I was trying to get a picture of the win against the Dino. Now I'm on the search for more clown cars. There's a bunch at Nissan, Toyota, Mazda and more. Every win pays for the car and all the upgrades or customization. If no one posts after this I'll just keep add to this one.

Edit III: 79 Bluebird 1800 SSS @412 PP. Tune by me. I really had to consistently hit my marks from the beginning of lap 3. The Dino would run me down in the straight but could not pass, we actually ran side by side on the long straight that leads to the s's before the start /finish line. I could out drive the Dino in every corner, but as we all know the AI slow down considerably before every turn. This so far is the lowest PP I have been able to win with. I'm sure I could run the stock Dino and do the same thing but to me it's like using the GSX-R or the NSX LM. If I wanted easy I would just run every car I have set at 550 PP and reduce until I got to 530. I was wrong about the number and makes of cars eligible for this race. There really isn't many to chose from pre '79.:dunce::confused: There are several US muscle cars but that would be like Jack's giant stomping ants.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Edit IV: This was a close battle with the Dino too. I consider this a clown car with 432 PP. The Dino is faster in the straights but slows way down through the curves. If your car is handling it is fairly easy to run 430 down to 412. I tried a 400 PP and was P2 behind the Dino. Maybe someone with a wheel could win at 400 PP. 10 and a half minutes just takes too long. This race paid for the 3 other cars I bought. I'll run them and I'll be done with this one.

Today I ran a Honda 1300 Coupe 9 S 1970 model. My own tune and 425 PP. So far every race I have entered it has had the Dino and the Stratos. The Dino to me is the fastest of the AI. With such low PP I think you must have a car that is very good in the corners because the Dino is very fast on the straights. This was almost an eleven minute race. The lowest I have been able to go in PP is 412. So I have been running between 412 and 430 PP's.

Edit1: I used the '66 Honda S800 with 400 PP and won against the Dino.:D He was on my tail from Hangar Straight, through Stowe, I pulled away a little at Vale, back on tail until the braking point at Club, which of course I dive bombed that corner and exited much faster. Then it was a small amount of blocking but the AI Dino was not close enough to me to take me out. MOV 0.156. I looked everywhere could not find a tune for the S800, several for the RSC 800. So I developed my own tune after much trial and error. Did my version of the gearbox flip, my final drive was 3.659. I saved the replay. I am going to try and record this with my phone. I changed the oil, improved rigidity, +2 wheels, full race drive train, Stage 3 weight reduction, including the windows and hood. I put on every power part except I didn't use any of the turbos. @ of the sweeping corners I ran wide open with a small amount of drift. If anyone would like to try my tune send me a PM.

So I heard someone also liked the S800

What? I posted on the London race that I did a l,lot of things to an S500 didnt I?

Its a little oversteer-y but you can handle most curves on Silverstone with minimal braking on SH tires. It lacks refinment on the gearbox department but it was a labor of patience and love :D
Honda S800
chassis reinforecement, No oil change, no extra inch rims
Suspension: F/R

Ride height: 130/120
Spring rate: 7.61/5.75
Dampers (Compression): 3/2
Dampers (Extension): 3/2
Anti-roll Bars: 4/2
Camber: 0.0/0.0
Toe: 0.00/0.60
Race brakes: 5/5
Transmission: (My weakest point as I dont know any advanced stuff)
Fully customizable:
set at 150km/h
1:3.993
2:2.824
3:2.134
4:1.703
5:1.360
Final Gear: 4.714
The effective max speed is 163 km/h which you can reach at 2 points in silverstone with 370pp
Drivetrain:
Fully Customizable LSD
initial torque / Accel / Braking: 7/40/20
two plate clutch
Carbon drive shaft
Power:
All of the improvements and lower it until you reach your desired performance level
Body:
Stage 3 / Hood / window reductions

with no oil change, the top PP is 427 pp .
This is the exact tune I used for London race, except the PP level that I lowered because a certain someone already post a 400pp run when I was about to post a 405pp one, so I felt the need to see how low can I go.
So if anybody feel that GT is boring... nope, you can find a challenge if you are willing to do so and to get out of your comfort zone :sly:

Well done my friend. Excellent run.👍👍👍👍. I'm sorry that I missed your tune.@ishikawa2501, I used the Advanced Tune Finder and came up with nothing. I also have the original tunes that used to be google documents, both the main and the archive and didn't a tune there either. That's why I stated I couldn't find a tune. I don't search threads because most of the time a tune in a thread is from someone who has a tune garage like @Jeje6410 or @GhostRider65 though there are times like yours where someone posted a tune of their own. I looked simply to get a base tune. I am getting better at tuning my own cars. I'm not worthy of a garage though. I am trying to win with the lowest PP and now you have set the bar higher. 👍👍👍

Edit: I ran once at London and won just to get it out of the way and have not been back to that event. Here's my tune for the S800
Pit Service: Car wash, oil change, rigidity improvement ,Sports Hard Tires.
Custom Parts +2 American Thrust wheels
Weight Distribution 50/50
Suspension
RH: 100/100
Springs: 4.45/3.45
DC: 2/1
DE: 2/3
ARB: 3/2
Camber: 0.0/0.0
Toe: -0.06/ 0.08

LSD: 10/14/23

Transmission
set FG 6.000, speed to minimum 87 MPH
1st: 3.678
2nd: 2.617
3rd: 1.863
4th: 1.455
5th: 1.218
Final Gear: 3.659*

Power: 100%. No turbo, every other part available. Without the turbo the PP lands right at 400 PP.
* I could have gone a little more with the Final, but never hit the rev limiter on the straights.

Edit: Won with the S800 @ 366 PP, 83 HP, 68.8 f-lb torque. If I had gone against the Dino, I don't think I would have won. The 61 XKE was the rabbit. I had to change my final gear from 3.6... to 3.816. Pretty much help it wide open for about 97% of the track braked on a little in the final s curves before the finish. @ishikawa2501 thank you for making this a fun race. You are most likely not running any aids and manual tranny which makes you a better driver than me. I used TC 2, ABS 4 and Strong Active steering. Even though you ran 370 PP you won against the Dino. That makes you the winner. Great drive and excellent blocking. The XKE was dead on my rear bumper in the straights so I had to do some creative blocking for the win.

@Racin510s I have some questions.
Why is the LSD Accel only at 14 and the initial torque at 10? I'm pretty sure that you can set the accel it higher to make it more responsive and lower the initial torque to minimize "unexpected behaviours", unles you experienced excessive oversteer at the exit of the curves
With those spring rates, the bigger tires and that ride height did you encounter any problems?
Why you didnt go for the turbo? The S800 10k rpm engine is great with high rpm turbos!
Im not an expert! I'm just curious about some decisions for your tune
Oh! Im not running any special aids beyond the defaults, and im using Automatic transmission

Hey Ish,
Thank you for the reply. 👍 Yes it was over rotating when I got back on the accelerator at corner exit. I used @Motor City Hami LSD guide and took the car to trial mountain my front tires were turning red and was also the right rear was spinning as well. I just kept adjusting by 1 to 2 clicks at a time until I like the way it braked, rolled and then accelerated out of the corner. The spring rates have a good feel to me for my driving style, but I am very careful of the rumble strips. The weight transfer on very hard braking is pretty neutral. I don't like turbos because of the lag and run automatic tranny. If I had my wheel back I could catch 1st gear, but with AT you only can catch 2nd unless you come to almost a complete stop. I prefer NA or supercharged engines because the power is always available. My tunes are my tunes if you know what I mean. When the car feels good to me and does what I want it to then I go race. If it helps others then great, I'm really happy. Most of the tunes I use from any tuner always gets changed mainly because I brake extremely hard, I carry more speed into the corner and then get off the gas and let it roll through the corner and can then get back on the gas very near the apex. It was something I Learned at the Skip Barber racing school back in the mid '70s when I was racing in the SCCA. I'm not an expert either. I guess I make my tunes until the car behaves the way I want it to. I really appreciate the little PP battle. :) I still think you are the better driver because I could not run at 366 PP against the Dino. 400 PP was a challenge against the Dino and 366 was no walk in the part against the XKE.

Didn't get anywhere in my GT5 favourite Honda Z. Just nowhere near enough power for this track: finished a respectable 6th though :dopey:.

Edit

Likewise a fair showing from the Daddy Scooby. A fun 88 hp but not enough for the track.

The Subaru 360 turned out a sleeper, sadly its limited by the engine, and being a lightweight disnt allowed for a higher spring rates + dampers because as soon as you touch the edges or the strips the car goes bumping dangerously. Also if the IA sneezes at you you'll easily lose 5-8 seconds on the recovery maneuvers.

An interesting challenge nonetheless.
SUBARU 360 464PP SH my own tune

Way to go Ish. 👍👍 I didn't think the old subby would get so many PP. Great drive especially against the Dino. Once I fully recouped I am gonna give it a go. I might have had a heart attack yesterday. I spent the night in ICU at the VA for observation. Had some strange squiggly lines in my EKG. So the ER doc admitted me. I had been started on oxygen for sleep about a month or 2 ago. My o2 dropped below 80 which In think is the main reason they kept me. We got moved into our new home that belongs to use and just had internet today.

Edit: 12/9 haven't done any racing for almost a week.
