Welcome to Motor City Tunes for GT6. For those of you who are familiar with my tuning garage from GT5 (link --> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/motor-city-tunes.167421/) you will find it easy to navigate this GT6 garage.

About me:
I was introduced to racing at a very young age. Many of my earliest memories are from the race track with my father.

11126545635_d165a9c502_n.jpg

I have raced BMX, slot cars, remote controlled cars, auto-cross, Sports Car Club of America road racing and of course racing video games. It doesn’t matter what I race, I have always loved two things. First is the thrill of the drive. I have spent countless hours trying to hone my driving skills. I have become a student of driving. I study it like a driving instructor would. My second love is the love of the tune. I read whatever I can on the subject and I am not afraid to make changes, even obscure ones, in an attempt to find more speed. When it comes to tuning, I think more like an engineer. The combination of these two focuses of thought truly makes me feel more connected to the cars that I drive. I believe that my constant improvement in the seat and continuous learning of the machine allows me to finish higher on the podium than I really should.

GT6 Quick Tunes
This section is for those who find tuning a hassle and would just like to race. Start with these settings and fine tune from there, if you so desire.

Congratulations on being the first GT6 Garage..and that makes me the first to post in the first GT6 garage..yeah!!!. I likely won't have as much time to tune as I have in the past, I look forward to your GT6 work with bated breath:cool:

Looking forward to this MCH. I've learned a lot from your posts and tuning guides for GT5 and look forward to leaning on your expertise for GT6. What I have learned from you for GT5 has allowed me to become much more proficient at creating my own tunes and thereby made me a better driver as well. You have provided me with the insights I needed to better understand the minute details and I thank you for sharing your knowledge. I look forward to your insights regarding the GT6 details.

Motor City, I have used many of your and Praiano's tunes. How can I support you as you tune for GT6?

You know, I haven't thought about asking for help. It would be useful for people to test drive tunes or even try out two different tunes with one slight difference between them and to provide feedback. That feedback can really help to guide additional testing.

Praiano and I will be working together a bit too. I could see a situation where a tuning input works for him and not for me or the opposite and we needed more test driving input to lead to better answers.
I'm no alien driver, but I could give you my impressions. I use a G27 and don't do much online racing, but can free run with consistent lines to give feedback.

Ok... so I am doing something crazy this week. I am so excited about my copy of GT6 showing up this week that playing the same old GT5 events has become boring. I want to play GT, but I was looking for something different to occupy my time this week. So, I pulled the PS2 out of the closet and fired up GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. I discovered that only four tracks have been in every series GT1 through GT6; Grand Valley, Deep Forest, Trail Mountain and Special Stage Route 5. I like Deep Forest best of all of these, so this will be my test track.

I also looked at the car lists across GT1 to GT6 and found that a few of my favorites from GT5 are in every title. For now, I chose the MX-5 Miata '89. I am tuning this car in all six titles this week looking to feel the differences in tuning. Not that we will learn anything from this, but I just thought this would be fun. I will post results and thoughts soon.

I am actually beginning to appreciate the GT5 physics as compared to the previous game versions.

has soon

Be careful. Site requests posts all English.

Hey Hami, glad to see your back man. I look forward to reading not so much the tunes but I think you and CSL are the only guys that test each aspect of the game and give feedback so people can get a better understanding of what is going on and why you do things the way you do them.

IT IS HERE!!! Tuning begins as soon as the 4 year old goes to sleep. Which is a faster sleep aid, whiskey or cough medicine?
On a night this important? First some whiskey then strap the 4 year old into a car seat and take a few laps around the block with the heat on full. Guaranteed 8 hours. Worked on my kids and now my grand kids. ;)
