Okay, so I've got $150 to spend on of course, a driving wheel. Since I've never driven a wheel before, I need to know if anyone would give a suggestion for a certain one within the price limit.

Well it's a $150 gift card to my local mall, and I think the only place that sells wheels are Gamestop. I wonder what they sell. This can probably be closed unless anyone has an idea.

Well at Gamestop your choices will be their own branded wheel made by Mad Catz I think which is $79 with no Force Feedback and maybe the Driving Force GT which will be $129. I would definitely go for the DFGT if your buying from Gamestop.

Yeah I wouldn't buy a Gamestop-made wheel, I don't trust there controllers. Looks like I'll most likely be going with the DFGT then, unless I can find a way to get something to purchase a Fanatec wheel. Thanks.

As a dumb question, what is Force Feedback? :dunce:

Like greekbull said, definitely the Fanatec Carrera wheel. Don't think twice about that.

A force feedback wheel is one has a motor connected to the wheel that turns & jerks the wheel, and offers varying resistance, so as to simulate the forces you would get from driving in a real car.

The alternative is a wheel attached to springs.

There is no better video game driving experience than had when using a force feedback steering wheel. Don't waste your money on any wheel that doesn't have force feedback.

Well kikie, like I said I only have $150 for my mall, I have $25 more and I'd have to get a debit card for that, and I was already planning to give myself some GTPremium with the $25. I think the DFGT will be enough for me, as I'm not looking for anything fancy.

Driving Force GT: is the best cheap wheel (from a recogniced manufacturer), you save money, you can buy it in a shop, and you will get a better customer and post-sale service. And it´s an official GT5 product.

Porsche Carrera Wheel cost over $150 (including shipment), you need to buy it online, and if you never before has played with a wheel, cluch and shifter will be not easy to use for you (and probably not funny). Not official (today works, but with future updates may not).

Thanks everyone I'm going with the DFGT, I also have to pick up a new DS3 so that gets me only $20-40 after the purchases. If a Mod sees this, you can go ahead and close it.
