A stupid question: About msn messenger

A friend has a problem about her messenger. She says she cant see online a friend of her. But he is actually online. The icon shows him offline. Any solutions?

Ahhh.... where would I be without my infamous block feature...

Unfortunately I've had friends use my PC only to see their names blocked out.... had to think quickly more than a few times.

Now I just say:

U see, everytime he logs onto the messenger, her name is displayed offline, and he doesnt know when she really is online/offline. But they have chatted here (on the messenger)

Could it be a connection problem, maybe some crappy isp?

As far as I know, if you choose apear offline you cannot be contacted or contact others. I'm not sure. But msn needs to have a log in invisible mode like yahoo, but msn is run by uber idiots.

msn is crap, with its lame smilies. i use ICQ and aim, no lameness there.

i like msn chats far better, yahoo and aim have a higher moron rate, and a worse porn spammer problem. as for messenger, msn isn't the best, but at least i was not contacted while still browsing the options in msn like i was in aim.
