Ok, here is the thing.

It is about how not so well, the competition behaves. So far, one of the most challenging and exciting races I have done was the last F1 series in Pro. I mean, I was nervous, 99% of the time. The competition was always a second behind me. That is how GT3 should be always, from beginners.

When u start the race. Competition is tight for the first few laps. After that it is an easy win. There should be Hp limit as GT2 used to do. That way, GT would be more challenging.

Sometimes I feel guilty using a 700hp Speed 12 against 400hp Raybrig NSX's?

U get the idea?

Sometimes I feel guilty using a 700hp Speed 12 against 400hp Raybrig NSX's?

Try racing with a more equal matchup. Use a turbo 2 instead of 3 for the races where you know the competitors are lower hp. Or use the exact same car as them, like a base hp Raybrig NSX. You can do the Preview for a race to see what cars the computer will be driving (if it is a race you have not done yet or do not know the competition well enough.)

Can't say that this is what I always do, I love my :ruf: RGT too much to deny it 1077 hp . But after I reach 100% or near it I'll probably go back and do races just for the challenge.

Yeah, I understand what you mean Tercel... However, I was running the GT All Stars race in Pro last night, and I tried to be even with the competition by bringing in an unmodded 787B, and the R390 just creamed me! Then, I got mad and installed a turbocharger in my 787B, and it still was ahead! Plus, I knew that the R390 never pits, so I was screwed... but, I just didn't have the heart to use an F1 car... so I really have no clue what to do... :indiffere

I first attempted it with a fully tuned R390 Road car. It was fun but the racing was very close and in the End I lost out by about 2 poins on Tokyo R246. I then tried it with a stock GT-0ne Racer. I won a few races but on most of the highspeed tracks I kept getting killed. I then just assumed that the cars were tuned and slapped the Spec 3 turbo on and rinced the series 3 times over.

The problem is that you sometimes sont know how powerfull the competition is. In the first GT this Problem was eliminated by being able to check the power and weight of the opponents cars in the setup screen. In GT2 you had the Power restrictions which was another good thing. I swear that if you look on the Series menu where it says what is not or not allowed there is a BHP restriction, but for some reason it is not used at all which is stupid. Well I think there is a BHP one Im not sure. Blah blah blah blah blah

Ugh... The spec 1 turbo only brings the Gt1 to about 700 bhp 3 gives about 980 bhp. The 787b needs some setting up to drive with the extra turbo. I remember tuning it on my last save and the damn thing just liked to not stop and plough off the track. Ill sort that out when I get my second 787b. Anyways now I have a R390 Gt1 Race car and im gonna clap that seres goooD to get my second Viper concept

I cant believe you dont like the sound of the blow off valve.
I die to hear them in the races, besides thats the best sound you can hear in a real car.
When I race a series race, I usually go to the last race of the series and go to the qualifying round to see how I stack up to the competition.
Ive noticed the cars get more aggressive and faster as you go to the ending of the series to the last race.
Qualifying isnt the same as the actual race, so its just a barometer on the competition. The actual race will prove more difficult than the qualifying so be prepared.
Good luck.
Misnblu

Well, I just won a Toyota GT1 Race car last night, and I guess I'm more tolerant of it now... it's still annoying though if you go over a rumble strip, because then it goes off like mad!

BTW, last night I stuck a Turbo Stage 4 on the GT1 and went to Deep Forest Raceway... holy cr•p it's so much fun when you get into 5th gear on that thing on the back straightway!

I havent played long enough on the gt3 to win the really nice cars.
Ill eventually get a f1 car and really kick some arse with it.
Its such a pain to have to race measley races just to earn money for mods. All in time before the cars and money get good.
Misnblu

well you shouldnt feel guilty about the speed 12 vs 400 hp nsx's, the nsx's are meant for RACING.... while the speed 12 is for both racing and street, and besides yer goind against 5 other racers....

I thought of a way to prevent this unfair advantage. GT4 should let you pick cars out of your garage to race against. This way you know the exact HP and settings each car has. That wasy you can have really fun races. Imagine running against your own tuned cars.
