As stated, I was thinking earlier about some of the cars that sit in my garage without a 'perfect' event to use them for. I think a sports touring coupe challenge would be neat to put some of my favourite cars in the game in their element. It would involve using grand tourers as opposed to pure sports cars, like the Mercedes SL, CLK, and CL series, Lexus SC/Toyota Soarer, Aston-Martin DB cars, Jaguar XKs, etc.

I would race a championship format with three 5-lap events at Deep Forest, Trial Mountain, and the Nurburgring. I think that those types of cars would be exceptionally well suited to the tracks mentioned, maybe with a tire restriction of sports softs or racing hards, and a ~450 hp cap.

I think that would be a blast!

If you could create any A-Spec event to showcase some of your favourite rides what would you do?

The main problem I see is the AI. Quite simply in the same or similar cars they're no match for us, making any series like that pointless. If you want races with the AI you have to use lower cars than them, making one-type or one-car series pointless.

Yeah, until they fix the AI I won't be bothering with A-spec anymore.

But if it was fixed, I would make a supercar championship for stock cars only

A WRC car championship on Eiger G, Toscana, and Eiger K.

I'd actually remake them all.

For instance, I'd make the "Supercar Festival" open only to the latest supercars (R8, LFA, GT-R, Ford GT, 458 Italia, Gallardo, etc.) and not to extraterrestially fast prototypes. I'll make a GT300 Championship. I'd make something better out of the Historic racing cup. Oh and of the Sunday cup. And of the DTM. And of the Schwarzwald leagues...

And well...I'D MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER!!!

I would level out all the existing events into at least 3 catagories, maybe more.

AMATEUR, INTERMEDIATE & PROFFESIONAL (AI difficulty of course) and maybe realistic? This alone should sort out the AI problems and extend the game somewhat as well.

Then I would add an event/championship creator and maybe add prize cars & XP to any events created and hey presto, GT5 A-Spec should last like... er, forever..

The event creator should stop any criticism on how short the A-Spec part really is and make A-Spec just about infinite.

Just an idea, don't kill me for it. :)

I would make a championship of 10 races for sure!

I would do a Super GT championship for starters (alot of premium beautifull super gts and no races to do) with full race length (or 50%) tyre and fuel wear - full damage - and maybe the 10 races that you mencioned

I would make a 24 hour Daihastsu Midget race around Daytona.

I fail to see how this race would be anything but entertaining, pure edge of your seat stuff.

Geez... I don't know where to start!

I'd probably go with an American Le Mans championship, with events on Daytona and Indy Road Course, and Laguna Seca.

I'd make a "Funny" Car Championship involving cars that stick out from the rest of the cars like the Tank Car, GSXR/4, and Seven Fireblade. Either that or a Go-Kart Championship around Cape Ring Periphery, Trial Mountain, and Nuburgring Type V.

I'm a lazy boy! Mind you, not as lazy as PD, but pretty much up there!

I'd simply make all the current championships run on ALL of the tracks. There! I just increased A-Spec by 1000% :sly:

You're welcome...

True I hadn't thought of that. I had automatically assumed that AIs were going to drive more or less as good as I do. But that's not my issue to fix, save for choosing my cars carefully as you stated!

But it never hurts to dream eh?👍

I would actually like to see the original Polyphony Digital Cup brought back. All you could use would be unmodified cars and I believe you could only change tires. I also think the only tires could be changed to a sport tire composite. The nsx type s zero was the car to beat if I remember correctly too.

Expert Series and Extreme Series would have alot more races that run around 25-50 laps depending on track length with tire wear on. I have yet to make a functioning pit stop (haven't unlocked endurance yet)

The GT2 Manufacture races were awesome!

One make races like we had in GT4.

MOAR Endurances! (with save option, ofcourse)
- 4 hours on Monza, with sub 300hp cars
- Cape Ring Horror! 8 hours on the full cape ring with an NSX
- Tokyo Endurance, 2 hour JGTC class race
- High Speed Ringfest: 1 hour with the X2010
- 100 laps of Trial Mountain with a European Coupe

Why, DTM of course!

10 tracks, 25 laps each race* culminating in a final 10-lap race of Nürburgring Type-V. This is how it should have been in the first place.

*In my world we can save mid-championship.

Super GT. No questions asked. And somehow make it so that you're able to have either a GT500 or GT300 championship.

Either way...

20 laps on Suzuka
25 laps on Toyko R246
20 laps on Special Stage Rt. 5
15 laps on Fuji GT
20 laps on Grand Valley Speedway
20 laps on Nürburgring GP/F
20 Laps on High Speed Ring
20 laps Trial Mountain Circuit
10 laps on Circuit de la Sarthe (Time/Weather)
20 Laps on Nürburgring Nordschleife (Time/Weather) <-- Dead serious about that one.
