One mainstay that I am SHOCKED that PD missed was the simple NA championship.... They have the Turbo championship... why not the NA championship. Other ones I would like to see would be a Ferrari F1 A-spec event.... its such a shame that those amazing cars are in this game and you can not use them in a-spec or b-spec. I would be happy if the only a-spec event you could use them in was the ferrari f1 race if there was one. Also, I like the idea of a hybrid/electric challenge, although im not sure if there are enough electric/hybrids in the game to make this very interesting. They could insert an entire set of 9 rally championships... why that is missing from a-spec i dont know... i think a british championship would be nice... they have all of the other countries, why not the UK... a prototype championship would be interesting... of course they need a 10 race tank car championship... considering that is the best car in the game. how about a pre 1950 VW championship.... I could think of hundered of good a-spec events... that is why it is so damn frustrating that PD gave us so little in a-spec... it should be 2-3 even 4 times larger...
 
I would make introduction level race-car races. :D Lupo and mm-R is awesom.

Wish they would make the Lupo and mm-R premium, or give us something equivalent to them... :)
 
A World Super Touring Championship!!! There is a lot of nice Touring Cars in the game, and nowhere to use them...

A champioship with five races of 15 laps. Tracks: Suzuka Weather - Japanese, Nurburgring GP/F - GER, Laguna Seca - USA, Monza - ITA and Monaco - FRA (well...).

Yeah I'd forgotten about how great those races were. Only problem I remember was the lousy payout was never enough to cover the costs of putting a racing modification on the races that required it.

I agree - an NA championship would be good fun, and it DOES seem like a natural compliment to the turbo one. I remember the one in GT2 being really good. It's a shame so many good ideas didn't make the final cut!
 
A championship based off of tracks that I have created. I'm sure the AI would love a few of them.

A rally championship with a little twist. The tarmac section would be Nurburgring.
 
Super Hatch Series.

VW Golf, Renault Megane, Alfa Romeo, Seat Cupra, Etc. (No RM allowed)

250hp/1100+kg/Sport Soft Tires. Also to keep it close, let us tell the AI to drive cars with mods instead of just stock!!!

No Aids other than ABS-1.

Penalties Allowed.

10 Races, Each race taking 30 minutes to complete.

European Tracks/PD-GT Tracks.

Cr + Xp is really insignificant at this point. So whatever the default settings would be if this was possible.
 
some friends and I came up with the idea of making a championship in gt5 ...

we created 3 Classes based on a kw/kg
1. Class 330kw / 1100kg (stock cars only)
2. Class 485kw / 1080kg
3. Class 691kw / no weight limit
12 races in each class!

every 2nd sunday we race in all 3 classes ... 20-35 laps - depending on the track with 1 obligatory pitstop
we are about 10 people and it's a good fun if you are on a competetiv race with your mates!

at first we wanted to define the cars, but after all we noticed that it's better to set up theese classes and everybody can pick the car he wants. Not only that the cars are different it's a lot of "setup-working" to do (getting up to the kw/kg and being fast too) which is pretty interesting!

sorry for my bad english (i come forum europe/austria), but i guess everybody gets the message behind! =)
 
Wow, good responses guys. I hope the people lucky enough to get those emails from P.D. for future improvements would look at this post. After I got the carbon X1 I felt like I was done, so all I do Is wait for a rare car, buy it, then go to practice .....it's a shame.
 
I'd add a couple E30 Championships:

  • Stock 318is Championship (2 laps on Nordschleife, Sport hard tires)
  • Stock M3 E30 EVO III Championship (5 laps (2 laps on Nordschleife 24h circuit, Sport medium tires)
  • Engine-swapped E30 Championship (E30 V12 swap VS E30 M5 V10 swap VS E30 M5 V8 swap VS E30 M5 inline-six swap VS E30 M3 E36 inline six swap VS E30 M3 inline-four swap VS E30 Hartley Enterprises V8 swap battle it out for 3 laps on Nordschleife, Sport soft tires)

Ooops, I forgot that there's no engine swapping, neither are are there E30's in GT5! :D Well, no problem, PD has to add all of this via update and DLC then … muahhahahhahaha.
