A word about Blazin

We have all seen what has happened with said member in recent days. To be honest, i am annoyed at what he did, but I am also annoyed about some members reaction. Blazin did a very stupid thing, but i know how some people find it hard to fit in and need to make things up about themselves. Blazin took this a bit far, but I don't neccecarily think that makes him such a bad person. He just wanted to fit in and be liked, but went too far in trying to achieve this goal.

Many members have made mistakes in the past. Some of them have dissapeared, others have come back, turned over a new leaf, and been accepted.

I would like to give Blazin the oppertunity to come back, explain his actions, and try to start over a new leaf. I would like to think that the members here would be able to give him a second chance and let him in. It might go some way to making him a better person.

I know there is a good chance that a mod will close this thread, and i apologise if i took the blazin thing too far. I just wanted people to not be so harsh and judgemental. We are a community after all. If there is a problem with one of us then we should all help to try and resolve it.

Excellent post. If Blazin can be reasonable and apologize for lying to us, I certainly think he deserves a second chance.
 
Yeah, I question him working for GM now too... :odd: Other than that I don't understand why anyone would lie like that (if he did).
 
Yeah I'm willing to give him a second chance, but the altitude of which the lie was made to be, that may take some time for some of the forums to let drop..

But I would like to see his face around here again :)
 
I agree too. If he apologises, and makes an attempt to explain himself, i'm happy. Despite my previous comments ...
 
I'm sorry if you don't agree with me guys, but i've been looking at these threads for the past few days and i genuinely felt really bad for him, and hoped he was okay. But to lie about something like that and delibarately decieve everyone, it's just totally wrong and in my opinion he in no way deserves a second chance. It's made me feel quite sick to be honest.

I don't know about him anymore. I used to have a bit of respect for him but I dunno. It's so easy to lie on the Internet if you don't put anything contradicting on the Net.
 
I agree too, to some extent. I just still don't know why he would lie about such a thing. I quite dislike it... If he apologises and explains why he lied, then I may let him have a second chance.
 
Id also be willing to give him a 2nd chance, i liked him and as you all said, if he can explain himself then why not accept him back.

Everybody deserve a second change. What he did was wrong but did he do something wrong to somebody on this forum beside lying??? Is he a swindler, impostor?? I don't thnk so. Nobody had a personal (irl) bad experience due to his lies, so where's the harm. Getting busted like this is a nice punishment. If he starts telling the truth, it's ok with me. If this was me who made that mistake, I think I was banned. Gives me the feeling he was respected although people say he wasn't.

Glad someone agrees. I could live with it if he was lying about working for GM or something like that, but to lie about being in a car crash for gods sake, thats just not funny. What an asshole, i hope he has the guts to apologize and then the sense to leave this forum and never return.

Indeed...he threw his opinions around int eh Cars in Genral sub-forum as if they had more weight because he "worked" at GM...as though he knew any more about any rumor than I (or anyone else on the forum) did...he made subjective comments about the handling of cars he claimed to have driven when I now severely doubt he has evever even sat in (Z06, Trailbalzer SS come to mind)...

Yeah, that's the problem with cases like this. People's ego gets the better of them. I believed his lies (if he really lied because I'm still not completely convinced) but I don't feel bad about it (because it wasn't personal). Everybody, set aside your big ego (it hurts when your ego gets....:ouch: and start looking at this as a big joke, a joke on him. The on lie I was thinking about and don't like (if it was a lie) was about his brother Max making the "accident thread". Does he have a brother or not??? If he doesn't, then that's bad, lying about having a brother. About the other things, I don't care less.
He's the one who has to feel bad, not us!!!

Please, please, please, my people...don't bother lying to us anymore. We've heard it all before. And if you must, at least be humorous about it.

People who lie just take away all the credibility of those of us who actually spend time helping others around here; which pretty much makes me feel like I'm wasting my time here, talking to a wall. Why the hell should I spill my guts to people who just lie in return?

Liars take away all the fun and usefulness out of being here on GTP, and spoil the use of Jordan's creation, his energy, and of course, his money spent on making this a place to gather and discuss things.

That's all I've got to say about the matter.
 
I'd still like to know what's going on, but also think that it'd be nice to hear his side of the story. Whatever the conclusion i'd like to see him shipped off the 'Internet Circus'.

I'd respect him if he just told the truth. I mean, nobody has to prove anything to me about what kind of person they are and etc. The only thing you have to be is yourself, and you'll be liked or disliked just as much as anybody else.

If you want more than that, then your drive could be used on something much better than "social status" on gtplanet.net.

If I was Blazin I sure wouldn't come back here...I'd go spread my lies at some other forum...

EDIT: acutally, I think I agree with Omnis, if he comes clean I suppose I'll respect him again...good point man

I will say one thing about this. SO THE F WUT... Like PunkRock said, we all did it once (at least one of the net).

I dont know why you people should bother about it, its a lie ok, but dont make a drama movie from it, its useless. If its the first time he lied, I would think that he deserves a second chance. Overall, one lie never killed nobody, its for sure useless and disrespectful, but I think he deserves a second chance.

Id let him come back. Although it would take time for him to build up his trust.However I dont think he will come back as otherwise he would have done so by now. Why did he make up the accident lies? I can only think because as of lately people who were on his side started to disagree with him more and he even had a couple of spats with people. His uber GM stance started to make him a bit unpopular as he was always right and everyone else wrong.. and he liked to name call. So my theory is that he created the accident story to get sympathy etc and then go one back to how he was viewed before his spats as a very respectable member... Which we now know was built on lies. Will b_x return? Maybe once but then after that only under a different name.

This remind me of that lady that kept calling a radio station about her non-existant husband in the Iraq war just for attention. The lie grew so big everyone was hooked in belief then somehow she was caught and she made up some lie like I didn't know or it was't me because I wasn't my self. Some crap like that. I think it was on dateline or something? I can't remember what penalties she got.
 
It was a pretty big lie, and I can understand why some people who feel duped are not ready to forgive just yet; it only happened in the last few days, remember.

But as for me, I have no problem with the guy, and lies in an online forum are to be expected, at least to some degree.

Blazin, or Bionic, or Joey, come on back whenever you feel like it. I promise not to flame you.
