1 Ireland 65
2 Switzerland 52
3 Portugal 49
4 France 41
5 Netherlands 38
6 New Zealand 35
7 Malaysia 31
8 Australia 30
9 South Africa 17
10 Great Britain 16

Looking very good for team Ireland there, but it is still pretty early, well almost half way. Hopefully I'll actually see one of these races sometime.
(Its one of the only sports we are actually half decent at, apart from rugby, and none of our broadcasters could be bothered to buy even the rights to some highlights) :ouch:

I just posted that news since the last post was July!

Team Ireland is looking very strong. Great to see Team Australia finally getting some good results.

Ive been surprised at Team Aus results as they werent doing to well compared to us kiwis though as i said before the driver choice has left something to be desired with Johnny Reid being left out so far (racing indy lights) and Earl Bamber not having the experience at the top levels, if we could get Brendon Hartley to drive we could be in with a shot as he has international experience (British F3 and 3rd at Macau) possible the next big thing from down under. Also the Portugese team has been doing really well, once again coming off a strong last season,

Though in the feature race at Kylami Earl Bamber was running well, for the first 4 laps until Mr Karzi from Malayasia decided he wanted to introduce himself to the rear mounted camera and end Team NZs race after also ending Team Irelands race early as well
Sprint race going to Team Nederlands and the feature going to Team Switzerland as well as the championship lead. Special mention goes to Team Monaco for a podium in the feature (could some one confirm this the coverage started at 1 in the morning)

Feature race started here at 1pm, so you can work it out that way, if your GMT+12 then I'm guessing your're right.
As for the race itself, I seen very little but read a few reports and I'm quite annoyed with team Malaysia they cost Ireland the championship lead and not satisfied with that went on to take out Team New Zealand like you said. Did he even get penalised?

I know they had to come in to replace a flat tyre, and in a post race interview Adam Caroll said that they crashed soon afterwards, but other than that no penalty as far as i'm aware, i would of thought a drive through after taking out Ireland would of done the job as would of happened in any other major championship

South African A1Gp showing on Channel 9 and 90 right now!!
Monaco with pole for the feature race.

Watched that race on Foxsports, Live! Great track Kyalmi.

Some of us have to wait and watch the cut to peices version.:(

Didn't get to watch it when it was live online.:ouch: Now if only they replayed the races in it's entirety on there for a nominal fee.

Wow thanks to TV3 we get quailifying, Sprint race (delayed) and the feature (delayed a bit) on the Sunday night of a race, also a full replay of the races the next Sunday so really there isnt an excuse not to watch it in NZ.

Todays the final round of the A1GPchampionship in Brands Hatch and Ireland's Adam Carrol will take the title if he finishes fifth or better. Watch live streaming on A1GP.com.

Good News: Congrats to Ireland for their win in the Feature race and winning the Championship. That trophy is a Looker!

Bad News: The Global economic downturn might have hit A1 because of some unpaid bills, Murphy the Bear says;

First, Murphy’s heard that A1GP had a near-death experience over unpaid bills this week, until either a payment magically appeared yesterday, creditors decided to carry until after the Brands Hatch round this weekend. If it’s the latter, the reckoning was only temporarily delayed, and in any case there’ll likely be rocks in the road getting to Australia’s Gold Coast in October.

I was at the Hatch yesterday. Well done to Adam Caroll winning for Team Ireland, I've only just got into A1GP and this is the first race I've seen so it was a bit confusing knowing all the drivers and the positions and stuff but there was some great racing going on.

Especially because the cars are exactly the same, means it all comes down to skill!

A1 GP cancelled at the Gold Coast.
What is this ???

Lying to the promoters here at G.C.
Saying they are in transit, yet actually they are in London locked down.

I have to say I'm very dissapointed by this and also I am quite astounded that something of this calibur is even taking place.
It's not like we are rookies, we have 18 years of near faultless organization at kind of event.

Maybe i can help there:

Eurosport

The A1 GP series, the self-styled 'World Cup of Motorsport', cancelled next week's Australian season-opener due to problems stemming from its British operating arm going into liquidation.

Series chairman Tony Teixeira denied however that his championship had reached the end of the road.

"A1GP may be down, but I do not accept we are out," he said in a statement.

"We have had four exciting seasons that have proved we are a force in the sport and now we shall consolidate on what we have achieved to date. My efforts will be on finding a way forward with the support of some very loyal people."

The first race of the fifth season had been scheduled for Surfers Paradise from October 22-25 but the Ferrari-engined cars were unable to leave their British base due to the company's financial troubles.

"One effect of the UK operating arm of the series going into liquidation in June was that access to the cars and the ability to pay its suppliers has been impeded," A1 said in a statement.

"What should have been a summer upgrading the machinery in time for the first race of the 2009-10 season has turned into a frustrating time for achieving this."

Teixeira said he was "devastated" by the "regrettable but unavoidable" decision and apologised to the Australian motorsport fans.

He said A1 would refund the sanctioning fee to Gold Coast Motor Events and donate 50,000 Australian dollars (£28,000) to a charity of their choosing. Contractors engaged by A1 who had already incurred expenses would also be reimbursed.

A1 announced only last month that it had secured long-term funding after a financial restructuring and published a nine-event calendar. The next scheduled race after Australia is China on November 15.

The single-seater series, which pits national teams against each other in identical cars, had also reached a deal with IMG Sports Media to market its worldwide media rights for the next three years.

A provisional 19 teams had been due to race in Australia.

Get ready for it to wind up guys.

Such a shame because this was a very good sport that they had going

Even so, a week before it's commencement is pretty rough.
Luckily we have a decent support program.
V8 Supercars will be doing the majority of the entertainment.
Although Thurs and Fri will be a little light on in track use.

Thanks for the prompt response and info too, much appreciated 👍
