aaaahhhh HELP I broke my PS3 BR-drive

My BR drive was dying, so I ordered a new laserunit (KEM400)
when disassembling I forgot to take a disk out and now the drive is locked (thinks there stil is a disc inthere)
I have tried putting the disc back in and reassembling it, but it doesn't eject.
anybody know how to position the various wheels and levers to make the drive think it is unlocked?

Use the manual eject, search on youtube

A paperclip with a bent tip may help as well.

getting the disc out is not the problem, I just disassembled the drive.....but is thinks there stil is a disc in there

Exactly. It is very easy to take the drive apart. In fact, I recently took mine apart:

I took mine apart after my old PS3 stopped recognizing any disc. I posted some videos showing how to take everything apart including the BD drive in the following thread:

thanks, thatpic should be usefull in determining where all the arms and such should be to report 'no disc'........back to the furnace!
