1. What happens if fuel runs out in gt4? Does the race stop or will they have some other system?

2. Will fuel's weight feel in car?

3. Will fuel be only in endurance race? Cars have so big fuel tank that you need many laps before it runs out.

4. If here is already answers to my questions, please put link.

1. I imagine you lose the race...

2. Probably the weight of the fuel is one of the 300 parameters cobragt always talks about???

3. It could be only in endurances, but if the game can remember a car's mileage maybe it can always remember how much fuel is in the car too, meaning you will have to check amount before each race...

4. Didn't look, but someone else will...

Disclaimer: All answers IMO, as GT4 hasn't been released and only PD know with 100% certainty...

If it's going to be used in conjunction with tire wear then you'll have to pit for fuel every 5 laps or so anyway. You could almost start a race on fumes if they didn't make the tires last longer.

As far as I know the PD-crew, they will not stop the race in case you run empty. I'm almost sure that they will let you "limp" back to the pits with 50kph (the same speed as after a collision).

Apparantly, if you run out of fuel you can get out of the car in the style of GTA and either run back to the pits to fetch a spare fuel can. Or just hi-jack another car ;)

i think there should be a fuel system
but if then really ''real'' for example the big v8 muscle cars need more fuel
the a volks wagen or a small ricer

Well this only works if you buy a gun because the cars won't stop for you without a little motivation.

Please could someone tell me... is refuelling a confirmed feature of GT4? Some of you are talking as if it is known to be in already.

I'm kind of surprised no one bothered to test any of this at TGS. But then, it would be hard to run out of fuel in 3 minutes....So why didn't Polyphony tell us anything?

Does anyone know if when you do refill, if you have to pay for it or not?

And do you think the fuel consumption will vary between cars?

I'd imagine that the cost of the fuel used if you have to refill during a race (the endurances say) would be 'included' in the entry fee for that race.

We don't know if fuel is used in all races, thus you'd have to continually re-fuel, or monitor, you fuel levels before each race.

IMO, PD probably has implemented 'some kind' of fuel consumption levels for different cars, wouldn't like to guess just to how accurate it'd be...

I would say maybe not because you don't buy new tires every pit stop but I could be wrong.

it'd be funny tho... pay for the gas..

gas prices is high already, $2.99 per gallon...

on other hand... will there be different kinds of gas? such as diesel.. un..that's that word?

I already waste enough real money on gas now...please don't tell me i'll have to buy it in a game now....although that is pretty realistic.

In Finland gas costs about 1.2 € per litre 👎 , so don't complain.

I think fuel fuel consumption will vary between different cars because they have cars like Toyota Prius in game, and I think it also depends how you drive because they teach economical driving in prologue.

Just so long as we don't have a repeat of Greg Murphy's fuel-hose incident at Bathurs a few years ago. During a routine Pit Stop towards the end of the race he was seriously in contention for, Murph got a bit ahead of himself and drove off ... while the fuel hose was still in the car. The end result: fuel was sprayed across the Pit Bay, and the mashals gave him a 5-minute penalty for endangering the lives of everyone around, putting him out of contention. Naturally, he was livid, but then agani, he always is when things don't go his way.

in saudi the liter costs 0.9 riyals, and the dollar riyal rate is 1 dollar = 3.75 riyals :D

Hehe, livng in a country where even water costs more than gas, I can't complain much about that...It would be realistic, to manage your gas, oil, and tires usage, but I don't really think it will be implemented in the game.. maybe for GT5...

you effectively buy a lifetime supply of tires. Thats why the softer tires are more expensive (they wear faster, so you will use more). And why tires can cost $40,000. Obviously 1 set of good tires for an integra Type R does not cost as much as two entire integra type R's. You are simply buying a lifetime supply.

As far as fuel consumption, that is fairly easy for them to simulate accurately, and I suspect it will be done well.
