Go on then how much does it cost per gallon in the US?

Here it costs on average 83p/litre or £3.75 per gallion, over $6 per gallon in your terms.

yes, i know its much more expensive in europe.. over here we are breaking $2.40 a gallon in some places. again, that may not be a lot when compared to europe, but the prices were less than $1.65 not many months ago..

And btw Formula one's 105-octane fuel costs 5€/Litre (Few years ago) so that could be price of gas for Le Mans and high tuned cars in gt4!? :D

hmmm yeah, lets do some number work...

The average high-speed road car(impreza, evo, rx-7, skyline whatever) costs about £150,000 (€220,000 ) ($270,000) to fully tune up.

In one of my cars (albeit an F1 car but thats beside the point) i've done about 5500 miles or 9000km. How many miles per gallon must an f1 car whilst racing do??? must only be about 4 or 5 surely. (anyody who really knows tell me!) at this consumption using €5/litre that adss up to nearly 6000 litres, costing €30,000. aThat's 1/7 of the costof tuning the car!!!!!

(rite, let's start this again!)
every 100km an f1 car uses 60 litres of fuel
every 62 miles an f1 car uses 13 gallons of fuel (made imperial)
every mile an f1 car uses 13/62 gallons of fuel, so it manages 4.8 miles per gallon. Sounds better.

When we take a road car using 8 litres per 100km
thats 1.8/62 gallons per mile, so 34mpg. Sounds better. So i was right!

Well, there we go 60l/100km thats 100km/60l and 1.666km/l, therefore 2.7mi/l and 12mpg. Wow thats much better than i thought!

Err your MPG conversion is wrong! :guilty:

It's $7.48/imperial gallon here for 98RON super unleaded.
Petrol in the USA does tend to be much lower quality that the stuff in the UK though. The lowest octane we get is 95.

in saudi the liter costs 0.9 riyals, and the dollar riyal rate is 1 dollar = 3.75 riyals :D
Ha! I spent a little time in Jeddah (sp?) Saudi Arabia, and you couldn't PAY me enough to drive my own personal car around that madhouse!!
