Have some questions: When you buy a car from the ncd or ucd, do you always get the paint in your items? What if you already have it? Do you have to answer YES to the question "do you want to ride it" in order to get the paint. I've been buying a bunch of new Ford cars from the ndc and didn't get the paint notice.

When buying a car for paint, you don't have to use the car to receive the paint.
Although, with certain cars, you don't get the receive the paint.

RUF's don't give paint chips and just recently I got a Motorsport Elise that I'm sure didn't come with a chip. There will be many more.

If you buy a car the chip comes when you buy it, you don't need to do anything extra to get the chip. Most racecars and a few road cars don't give chips though, so if you didn't get a chip when you bought the car then you have one of the cars that don't give them out.

No name, no chip... that's how I remember it, anyways. I'm pretty sure if the paint has a name, you'll get the chip. If you already have that colour, it will add to the count of that chip (sort the list by count). You can sort the list by manufacturer too, IIRC.

Have a good one

Hi

New cars from Mclaren & Audi R8 v12 (may be all R8's) don't come with paint chips.

Just check Duck's great car catalogue to find out which cars give out chips and which do not. It's very complete.

I bought an old Skyline with a two tone red/black colour once though, comeplete with names and everything. But no chip.

Yep, two-toned cars won't give paint chips. Like the Bugatti and the AE86.
