i dont care what im driving, i use my PS2 controller, and just be very careful with my thumb.

i dont use TCS, only for 1/4 mile attempts, even with my oreca viper or my vertigo, which peels out at anything under 100 mph, i dont use tcs. in 20 lap races, id otn use it, sure, ill lose 5 seconds off the start, but the gains you have while up to speed with TCS off is amazing, the only bad thing is tire wear, and if youre careful, your tire wear can be improved, just get a torquey car, and shift a gear or 2 higher during a turn, youll hold a perfect, correctable line, and you wont lose any driving tire wear

However, I find that mixing tires just to keep wear even often changes handling dynamics for the worse; usually accenting whatever the inherent problem is with the chassis.

In my experience there are some situations where this is the case others where it is not.

Example: GT One Road Car

Major tire wear at front. Almost non existent at back.
With my driving style it has power oversteer but is pretty balanced when cruising through corners.

I tend to use T4s on the back and T2s on the front and find the cars handling is more neutral under power due to the rears getting more grip. It tends to be quicker overall and has even tire wear.

However on FF cars you almost always suffer by putting softs on the back because it makes the natural understeer even worse. IT can still be tuned out of the car though so all I say is test, test, test.

I use the same compound all round on the Spoon Civic but mixed compounds on the Vitz.

Recently I have delved further into the world of tuning and have found that when I have spent a long time tuning I end up with pretty even tire wear on most cars anyway.
