The better question is, how LONG did it take you to go through downloading & installing allllll those patches? hahahaha

Surely I can't be the only one that doesn't have a problem with this car.

Right?

You are not. I love it just the way it is. I tried tuning and to me it kills the feel of it.

The most prevalent assumption of this game is that the label for each tire class has any real meaning when compared to actual, real tires. Comfort is just a word. The little picture next to the tire selection is just a picture. Look at the lap times and look at the g forces.
I know that. But like I said, there's no way a car with such power should have weak tires, especially one that's closer to a race car than a road car.

This car was built in response to the porsche (996 I believe). All they wanted was a higher top speed than the porche.

Tuning ruins it. Stock its a dream, even with the tires.

Thanks for the advice. As I said before, the car works perfectly for me now. And yes, I will take the advice and save for a wheel as well.

Not too much really. I did it overnight so I didn't have to wait. When I woke up it was done.

A realistic brake bias would be 3/1 or 4/1 F/R respectively. I too, like realism and have gone with those bias settings for every car. If it still locks the rears on 3/1 go 4/1 but you shouldn't need anything more than that. Real life road cars and most race cars have about 2-4 times the brake force up front compared to the rear.

The car isn`t bad, its very fast, not at the same level as a GT-R or 458, but it will certainly outpace most cars on the same PP level.

Its behaviour is just inpredictable, this car HATES fast direction changes (f.e. the Esses at Suzuka). At lower speeds, when the turbo kicks in, you will destroy its rear tires... I can`t race it (just can`t drive a race distance with it), but driving at the Ring with this beast always makes fun.

I'm starting to play "stock" more and more, but the thought occurs to me that if the car really handled that way, how many of them would still be left?
Without driving the real car* in comparison, how do we know what is most realistic?
If i'm playing a more aggressive style with the F40, i'll put on the FT suspension and stiffen up the front.

*any other car and this would be a passing thought, but with the F40, now my head is light, palms are sweaty, heart is thumping..... could you imagine the size of your.... smile!

Ah the f40, it can be driven by many, but raced by few.

It's just one of those cars you have to work with. I race mine with a 3/2 brake bias and it works great, but only with lots and lots and lots and lots of praaaaaaaaactice.

Also, I have to ask, ds3 or wheel user?

Having a wheel helps a lot :D

May you race and (untill you tame it) rage on my friend. The f40 effects even the best of us.

Edit: Well spank my bottom and call me charlie isn't this exciting. I meant driven not given... Fixed.

You speak as if you are driving a real f40, which is, *puts on sunglasses* not the case

While I haven't driven it extensively, I have put some miles on it, totally stock and it wasn't close to the nightmare I was expecting. Quite drivable actually.

useless ^^^^

I tried driving the F40 with a DS3 today and it's insane. The LSD in GT5 makes it impossible to drive as fast as possible and while consistently being clean .

I've just tested this car.. is amazing!
Everyone can drive it but few can master it, that a fact.
I love it, the sound, the feeliing on being on the edge on every corner. Im driving it stock. Well Im not a pro but.. I tested it with TC 1 ABS 1 the rest of. Tire grip real.
I LOVE THIS CAR!

EDIT1: I just tested with TC off. 2.51.531 is that to lame/slow/average?
EDIT2--> TC on 2.50.073 is that to lame/slow/average?

And for HuskyGT, I know that these guys have allready solved your question but have you tried accelerating/braking with the R2 L2 buttons?

For the true effect turn everything off the hud. Track map, time, speed/tack, gear indicator, everything. Then you get to feel exactly what Kaz wants in gt5. It becomes a true experiance that is second only to actually being there.
