I normally play with all aids off except for abs, which I leave at 1. But I know for a fact that some cars don't have ABS(most old cars, some from the 80's), just like some cars don't have ASM, or Traction Control, and so on.

So what I'm asking is: What notable cars (or group of cars) in the game do not have ABS?

Also, do DTM, Super GT and Group C cars use ABS?

So Super GT, DTM and Group C cars have ABS?

Thanks. That is a start.

Does anyone know of any old cars in GT5 that do not have ABS?

*bonus points for race cars*

Super GT, DTM and Group C in the game have ABS. They don't in the real world.

Yeah I had my suspicions that at least DTM cars had no ABS, since I've seen them lock up the wheels quite some times, although I do not watch regularly.

Thanks for the info. Gonna start driving those cars without ABS.

DTM and Super GT in real life dont use ABS, I believe the Group C cars all had it.

In the game every car has ABS as far as I know, including DTM and Super GT.

Edit: I thought Group C cars were before ABS was banned, but apparently not.

I find it a bit weird how the ABS works as I play the nascar with abs on 1 as I did not see the point in changing it as I can get round the track with out using the brake's.
But when I started the race I could get no were near them even though I did not use the brakes, so I saw a post in a thread that said turn ABS off and you will be victorious so I did it and I slaughtered them But I don't get why it makes such a difference having ABS off when I don't even use the brakes.

You believe wrong. Group C did not have ABS.

DTM did have it in the era of the Alfa Romeo DTM car but not in it's current form.

The problem is the ASM, not the ABS. In some races you can't turn ASM off for the NASCARs. Turning off the ABS also disables the ASM, too, for some reason, so that's why you go faster.

Did ABS even exist in the Prototype C era?

It was available as an option on most cars by the early 70s, Group C was mostly 80s-early 90s. I thought FIA didnt ban ABS until the mid90s though which is why I thought they had it on those cars.

Ahhh that explains it thanks.

as far as i know most race cars dont have abs. f1 dosnt, nascar dosnt ect. The older viper dosnt have abs but the newer srt10 dose. obviously non of the old cars will, and from like the 80 ish era and back probably not.
