Anyone know or heard of this game?
I tried google but nothing came up except the facebook page.
I saw the trailer on the PSN and it looks like a pretty neat game.
Graphics look not the best but physics dont look to bad, but of course cant judge much from a video.

here is the debut trailer

Anyone have anymore info on it or thoughts?

EDIT: sorry, not quite sure how to embed.

i saw that too.. after you mentioned the developer I looked it up as well. Still no info on absolute Supercars... dunno if its in its early development but seems weird that the vid is on PSN with no additional info.

Also Auto Club Revolution looks really good but if I read it correctly its on PC only?

I thought the same thing. I watched the trailer and thought, "nice, where can I buy this game" only to realize I can't and there's no release date. What the heck?

Honestly it looks like poor edition or cross over between ferrari and super car challenge :/

When i saw videos from super car challenge and this Absolute super schmooper i can see it looks almost the same.

This looks like a rehashed Super Car Challange.

They Did the same with Ferrari Trophy.

If you guys are interested go look in one of those thread here and you can form a good opinion on the games.

The physics were kind of ok. The car have a nice weight and the inertia is really really good (weight transfer,...), but no clutch support and overall to difficult physics (really they were hillarious over realisitc like 1.25- 1.5 the real thing). But hard to remember after 2 years not playing it. So don't take my word for gold.

Biggest concerns overall was the buginess of the games.

They also produced the Nascar (activison) which had the same complaints

Auto CLub will be free to play if i remember correctly, but then I'm with CARS which is forming nicely and HAS CLUTCH and has really good physics (hear that Eutechnyx). Calling a game realistic and saying a clutch is not needed is a massive fail for me.

This is the American release of SuperCar Challenge.... When that game came out there was no distributor for the US. So I guess they got that now and called it Absolute Supercars... Why? I don't know... But I've played the game a lot and it is quite challenging. Graphics are so so but the force feedback is MONSTER. No other console racer has FFB like this game.... If you put it on MAX and play for an hour your arms WILL be very very tired...

Is it worth getting?

If you have not played Ferrari Challenge or SuperCar Challenge... the latter being the rebadged Absolute Supercars.... It could be nice, but it's one of those love it or hate it sim racers... I personally thought it was very good and challenging to drive fast with pretty decent AI... Others thought it was horrendous coupled with the lesser graphics. So I'm kind of weary to really recommend it :D

Both Ferrari and Super Car were superb games to play. Such a difference from Shift world. When entire world waited for GT5 and get bored of Shift, SuperCar was that game to kill time. But many players did not appreciate Super car challenge.

It is true, love or hate. Driving physics was quite challenging in Ferrari, FF was hard and only one thing was bad. That was small dead-zone in steering. But later in second release Super Car Challenge was much better.

I can recommend this also if you are looking for something challenging. Every car felt different in handling. Every ferrari, Zonda F and CCX were true mad super cars. Aston DBR9 was true track racer. And Veyron  ..... well you have to see for your self.

 my god this car had only acceleration, nothing else. My bathroom doors can take corners way much better

^^ Also the F50 GT, 599XX and Ferrari 333 SP were insane :) The cars with street tires were very hard to drive fast by the way, .ie Zonda, CCX and McLaren F1 as stated above :D

edit:

And Tiff Needel does the voice overs in training mode !

Yes, Absolute Supercars is a new name for the PSN-only (no disc) version of Supercar Challenge. Not a game for cry-babies, very tough and very sim-oriented. But it has great cars, great tracks and allows for truly great online racing (offline is messed up with sometimes moronic AI).

There was a very dedicated community of Supercar Challenge players in gtplanet, alive and kicking before moving on to GT5.

AFAIK, the reason for this rebadging and creation of a PSN-only version of the game is that SCC was NEVER distributed in the North American market. Absolute Supercars will however show up and be downloadable, I presume, in the US and CAN PSN stores.

Just a glimpse of what this game is all about, here a battle between two 512M Ferraris at a wet Monza. From another GTPer's view (jjaisli). He chased me (GTP_Hun), caught me and we battled close all the way to the finish line.

^ Oh the good ole days of SCC... :p Great battle right there.

That's reminds me the reason why I quit playing it. They hit the brakes every time I was behind them.
Hotlapping became boring.

Though the intro was pure gold. Gave me goosebumps every time

Fixed. All you have to do is copy and paste 7EKdmjPclos&hd=1 or whatever it is after = between youtube tags :)

I hope it is updated version of Supercar challenge not the exact same game. Never bought the game so probably will buy it

I thought this looked poor and based on previous titles from the publisher it only cemented my decision to avoid this. I can't believe how awful and off Monza looks :yuck:.

I'm quite hungry for this game. Looks good enough for me 👍

Does anyone except me planning to buy this game. We still don't know when it would be released but it would be nice to build some Future AbsoluteSupercars racers list. 👍

Yeah, me to. But for 70% percent I'm in if on-line racing in this game is going to be any better than in SCC. I mean car collisions :)

As for the rest i just can't wait :)

Probably, what stertet as Ferrari Challege, transform to Supercar Challenge might end as Absolute Supercars :)

A new video just popped up in my sub. box, one quick GTP search later and I'm on this page.
To me, this title looks interesting. GT5 is great and all, but I've been playing it for too long and the areas it lacks are getting more and more on my nerves. Plus it's got cars that GT5 does not. :grumpy:
Even though it's at a cheap price, I recommend waiting for a review or gameplay footage before cashing in. 👍

The framerate looks ok, but not a full cookie. Framerate is the most important thing for me in a racing game now. 60 fps just doesn't cut it. This looks about 70-75. I need at least 100. Live For Speed delivers on FPS, with some nice graphics, but the rest of the game fails as a sim.

Last I checked, all new Youtube clips were 30fps or lower?
