Absolute Supercars Game

I've found today Supercar Challenge on European ps-store. I don't know when it did appeared. So it might be Supercar for Europe and Absolute Supercars for US.

I think it would be available from Christmas.

I enjoyed Ferrari Challenge, Supercar Challenge wasn't as good. It certainly filled the gap, while waiting for GT5. You can pick up Supercar Challenge on ebay for a similar price, and resell it when your done with it.

For this moment we all don't know how many if any changes ASC will have. But you basically right. Absolute Supercars is based on Supercar challenge.

Only one new feature I've found and it's Ferrari 458 Italia. I'm hoping for some more new cars but is not going to happen i think. I hate this so little information about this Game. :ouch:


And one more think, on psn store there is Ferrari Challenge Deluxe, i don't know how it could be different from old version. And still no Absolute SC :(

Ferrari Deluxe is same as Ferari Challenge with some updates. I guess ASC is updated version of SC with some updates as well :confused:
 
But what are those updates? Especially for Absolute Supercars cause I'm looking something to swap Shift 2 and it would be nice to know before buying. :crazy:
 
Anybody see the trailers on PSN?

It looks just like supercar challenge. It was supposed to be released in december but no dice. I assume it's the north american version of supercar challenge at a discount like ferrari the race experience since neither were released in NA at first.

Hopefully they put it on PSN because I've never got to play supercar challenge. I assume it's just like ferrari TRE but I still wanna try the additional cars. Veyron, koenigsegg, mclaren f1, DBR9, Corvette C6 r, Zonda F. Small but really good car list, plus all the ferrari's that I already love from the 2 ferrari games they did. I'm sure it's worth the $15 they will most likely charge (the same they charged for Ferrari TRE). Stupid call of duty charges that much just for a couple of crappy multiplayer maps

Aston Drives Superb :) As for the game it will finally appear on psn but no one knows when. On official facebook page there is message from dev company says that their are negotiating with Sony

Absolute Supercars is the same game as Supercar Challenge, only with fev small updates like better game engine and maybe some other minor improvements.

So if you didn't play Supercar Challenge (awesome game) then you can wait for AbsoluteSuper Cars. Game will have same trophies as SC so a lot of game play off line and online.
 
Why do you keep telling that it will have a better game engine? where is the proof? can you share your source?

Supercar Challenge is on PSN for 7.99 but I dont know if it is available in the US

You can setup new account and choose US as your country, if you have Visa Credit C. then you can buy, download, install and then play on your normal psn account without any problems.

As for Game it self i've heard that ASC is going to have a little better game engine so it runs smoother or load faster, i don't really remember. It is on their web site.

Yea right. People say that about it in GT5 and GT psp too, and it's not true at all. It's just a matter of adjusting your braking points. It has too much straight line speed, but it's a brilliantly handling car once you can grasp the fact that you have to brake earlier in a veyron than you would a lotus elise, duh...

It's on euro PSN? I had a euro PSN account but didn't see supercar challenge. It will work on a US playstation right? as long as I have the euro account activated on my PS3?

I'm probably just gonna wait for absolute supercars but if they don't come out with it soon I may get supercar challenge of euro PSN. Plus I bet there would be a bigger online community on supercar challenge, though if I had to guess, I bet that means nothing.

Like ferrari challenge and ferrari the race experience, I bet there's nobody online ever, its a shame
 
Yes it is on EU PSN and will be at that price for another two weeks but Im afraid I cant tell you if it will work on a US PS3... Im currently still finishing the career mode but when Im done Ill check the online and report.

Can you please provide me a link? Ive search the Absolute supercars Facebook page, eutechnyx website and official forum and didnt find anything about an improoved game engine... and I wouldnt like to pay another 10 bucks just to get the same game rebranded :scared:

I would really apreciate it ;)

Anyway I've been checking psn from December now and then a few times in week waiting for ASC, and only info i found since then is that the game is finished and it's ready for release but they are waiting for green light from sony :crazy: So no one really knows when it will be released. :ouch:

oh ok. Yea I've noticed some games can't get across the less obvious things about the veyrons handling. It seems like some games just make it weigh what it weighs, give 1000hp, and 4wd, and that's it. If you do that, it's not gonna handle nearly the way it should.

It's like the GT-R, it has incredible computers that help it manuever like a much lighter car, and keep grip around corners when you wouldn't expect it to. Not to mention the tires, specially tuned suspension, hydraulic wing, etc.

Some games just don't simulate all that stuff. I don't think shift 2 does either. I'm pretty sure only GT5 simulates all those systems properly. I know the veyron mods in rfactor or GTR evo aren't really any better. I hope it's not too bad in AS.

It's a pitty sony is holding the release of this game up. I'd really like to try it, and I'd rather not get Supercar Challenge of euro PSN. I always prefer to use my main account for purchases, etc
 
I'm pretty mad that months after making this thread, they still haven't released it. I'm almost thinking of getting supercar challenge from the European PS Store but I'm not sure if an American credit card will work (I usually have to use paypal online), and I'm also not sure if SC will work on the American version of the PS3. Anybody have an answer to those questions?

Excelent. I just found out that it's being released and that's a great price. The only thing though is I'm really hoping Supercar challenge users can play online with Absolute Supercar users since it's the same game and should use the same servers. That will definitely boost the amount of players online if there are any. No reason to keep the players seperate
 
So I bought it at a steal of a price (7.99).

I haven't played Supercar Challenge but I have played Ferrari challenge & TRE. To me it seems different to those in some ways. The graphics look much much better and the sound is a lot better as well. The graphics have much more clarity and realistic colors in comparison to FC. Is it the same fro Supercar Challenge or did they actually make improvements for this version?

Unfortunately they didn't add the 458 italia, but I guess that means there should be no reason for the SC and AS servers to not connect to eachother.

I want to so badly but I can't find it anywhere, not available in the US PS Store it seems. Only Ferrari TRE is available but I already have TDFRL by SMS so there's no point really. Give-me-Absolute-Supercars-NOW!!
