Absurdly quick cars?

Anyone found any cars which seem to perform way outside their PP bracket? I threw all the goodies on a Focus ST '13 and did a quick tune on it and it's insanely quick. At 530pp I easily managed golds in the supercar and tuning tournaments first run (630 and 650pp respectively), although fending off cars like the Huayra on long straights sucks balls. Sarthe was the only event it couldn't handle.

Anyone else found any unsuspecting cars that go like a bat out of hell?

Daihatsu Tr XX, back in the day.... That was a stone cold sleeper. A Killer from Daihatsu. LOL. The LCC Rocket modded, it could go 280 in SSX

Golf VI R '10 with all upgrades is insane. Had someone in a free run lobby ask if it was hacked because of the turn speed, and was easily winning against much higher PP cars- was setting 1:32.xxx's around Cote d'Azur (and I'm not the greatest driver ever).

If we're talking factory tuned cars, the Corvette ZR-1, Cadillac CTS-V, and Shelby GT500 are nearly impossible to drive, at least with a DS3.

For example, I tested the GT500 and the Camaro SS at Suzuka, a 60 pp difference between the two, and I could only manage to be 6 tenths of a second faster in the Shelby.

Were talking about things like the supra, that thing tuned correctly has a higher top speed than my fully tuned huayra.

Maybe it's just you that can't drive with a DS3 - I have no problem with it

VW Scirocco R. Had everything on it with a quick tune and it was stupidly fast. Removed the High Turbo for standard because it just made racing boring. Clio RS is pretty quick too.

It's extremely difficult to keep a stock ZR-1 or GT500 in check using a DS3 without either having aids on or being too conservative with throttle inputs. Do me a favor since you think I can't drive. Take a brand new Shelby GT500 onto Suzuka Circuit with your DS3 and show me your fastest time. Try to beat 2:16.844 without getting too frustrated. That car seriously wants to kill its driver.

KTM X-Bow R is damn quick too by the way. Faster than a GT-R Black around Suzuka.

Had the same experience with the Golf VI R (very similar)- insane cars! I'm going to do a nordschleife run and see how it goes.

ok, the challenge is on, what tyres?

I'm in on this challenge , just one problem.. there is no Shelby gt500 in the dealership.. cobra 427 chrome line is highest at 540 pp ..

It's in the Ford dealership, not Shelby :)
Silly me, lol.. anyway did some testing ..
Used stock shelby daytona first, no aids including no abs, sports hards.. i'm a lon. time wheel user but used ds3 for this, also suzuka not a fav track and got 2.18 on second lap easily.
Saw your message, bought the gt500 from ford and tried again..
Stock , no aids, ds3..
What a pig of a car!! 2.19 was best i could get after 5 laps and it was a chore in comparison, with a few tweaks to final drive and suspension it could be ok but stock its terrible.. if it was real life I'd have died several times! lol ..
Be interested to see how micmansour's test goes..

After further testing got 2.17.2xx found shifting up gears at 4k rpm made everything less dramatic, very rewarding car to drive, might have even found a new favourite here! lol
On topic though.. i've found the jaguar xj13 at 500 pp with sports softs or less has an insane amout of grip and is definately an absurdly quick car..

The hpa lll ( something) is stupid quick for 550pp. Out pulls any car I have met so far, and it can turn on a dime with proper diff.

2008 Audi RS6 Avant is the king of all wagons. The only thing that confuses me is the info for the car talks about a 5.2L and 2,160 kg curb weight, but when you look at the specs it says 4,991 cc and 2,025 kg......

480 lb/ft @ 1500 rpm

Ok so I took the challenge on board, but didn't beat your time. Did about 6 laps and best was officially a 2.18.857, although I did do a 2:18.220, but lap was invalidated. No aids except ABS on 1, using DS3 and manual transmission on Sport Hards. Mind you I'm not a huge fan of Suzuka, so hardly drive it (unlike you I'm guessing), so it's far from my best track to challenge a time on.
The car is a 661 hp / 850 Nm supercharged powerhouse, running a live axle rear end. I think it handled as I would expect it to in real life; on straight sections of road, it had no problem putting the power down in 2nd gear, however when turning or on uneven surfaces, it is a bit of an animal, even in 3rd and 4th, unlike, say, an underpowered Honda S2000 (or Honda-anything for that matter!)
Might have another crack at it tomorrow, but you need to remember this isn't mario kart - powerful cars in real life can be a handful on road tyres when pushing them to the limit.
