The Hayabusa engine doesn't surprise me. I was watching PINKS the other night and the contestants were racing their modded up motorcycles with 500-550 HP. It looks like the Ecomobile on steroids.

I would get one, but only if it had handle-bar streamers.

This is not new?How come it only came out in my local newspaper last month? And isn't the cockpit made out of an jet fighter airplane cockpit?(or whatever you call it) Looks sick to me.Even if it was a motorcycle......does it looks similar to this?(or is it even the same concept?)

It may be made of carbon fiber, but that doesn't matter if it has as much rollover protection as a carnival ride.

and, You know, Formula 1 cars don't have to deal wiht the dangers of 3,800 lb cars, 70,000 lb trucks, and 1,000,000,000+lb freight trains, either...a street car does.

I'd be fine marketing it as a motorcycle for greenies who want to go absurdly fast. but it ain't a car.

and, with the right leadfoot at the handlebars, It'll probably spit it's guts out faster than an 700hp 13B RX7. also a 1.3l engine.

I do belive that this thing will go like nothing else. But how do they make 690hp from a Hayabusa engine?

I think you'll find that F1 crash tests are a fair bit more extreme than any official road car tests that exist. Do you think Kubica would have survived the same crash had he been in a Bug Veyron?

Well, okay, point taken, but also consider that, in this vehicle, helmets may or may not be required, (Definitely not required in Illinois,) and that highway crashes are different from track crashes.

that, and really, this isn't a Formula 1 car. A Formula 1 car has at least some structure to absorb crashes, especially side and back-on. This has little protection at the sides, and would tip, perhaps roll, in a side-on crash.

and just because it's made of carbon don't mean it's as strong as an F1 car.

-> I also found out that there is a tamer model to the 70, is called the 55. I just got that on their website along with their wild concept cars. I think the 55 won't be as scary as the 70. :nervous:

~> Whahaha! I already added them both on my GT5 car wish list. :D

About the security: okay, they have a safety cell like a formula 1 car. But do they have the same safety standards for the seats, the same belts, helmets and the hans? I doubt that, and the GTBO goes way beyond f1 speeds. I predict that more than 50% of owners will kill themselves within the first 3 days of ownership.

And still ... how do they get 690hp out of a Hayabusa engine?

Turbos. Its a very capable motor. I watched one run 700hp on a dyno!

Edit: The other 50% of buyers will have it trailered to their garage of choice.^

This thing is a bike, not a car. thus, Bugatti stays as the king of the hill in automotive world. and if it is meant to be driven with two wheels mainly, I would be embarrassed because of those two help wheels..

I would like to know what tires they expect to deal with 375Mph. When Holeshot racing built their 700Bhp, 250Mph Turbo Busa, one of their biggest concerns were the tires...

For such a nice car, err... bike, it's a pity it will be sold for £1 million.
Also, I don't see how they are managing putting a £130,000 26-speaker audio system in that thing.
