I don't see how this poll wil help you understand how to improve the game. All it did for me is show that most people accept it how it is.

It's a good indicator (albeit limited) in showing what who complains most. If this poll had all the members voting, my money is the mod-happy PC crowd running away with it.

I'm not calling anyones driving ability into question.

I can't comment on forza because I havnt played much but from what I have it's not upto gt5 standards just like gt5 isn't upto pc sim (lfs) standards.

Your right in some respects GT5 is miles ahead of Forza especially graphics, physics. However in other respects its miles behind.

Ideal racing game would be GT5 graphics, physics but with FM3 gameplay.

Just check out that link I posted forza stats.com and see how having leaderboards greatly increases the gameplay. Check out the sheer number of online racing teams.

The forza stats.com website recieves its data from the leaderboards on FM3. Some clever person has created that site using this data.

This hits the nail on the head.

Permanent Leaderboards is what this game needs.With the imput of the PP system i don't see why this cannot happen.

It would bring many players/garages to play this game quite a bit just because of the Leaderboards.You would have garage vs. garage battles to see which garages tune is better than the others.Then you would have people just trying to get to the top.It would make the replay value of this game skyrocket.

I still don't see why PD did not put this in GT5 to start with.

The poll would be better with different wording. Or at least it should have an option "Do you believe the game is flawed?".

As it is currently worded, it seems you can only get a response from people, who, like you, think the game is flawed. Maybe that is what you are looking for... but you are limiting the data you can collect.
 
this thread just seems to be totally concerned with online leaderboards rather than the satisfaction towards the content of the game (or lack thereof), what about twice as much offline Aspec content? and literally just B spec endurances if Bspec has to be in there at all.

GT5 wouldnt be a problem even with only what all the other GT series had to offer, but it doesnt even have that and tries to make up for it with some interior graphics and a headline grabbing "over 1000 cars", but it probably has half that number of unique cars, which would have been better, in my view the amount of cars they put in was the problem, if they took out duplicates and spent more time in the ideas room for content it would have been much more complete at release date.
