Same, except at the other end of the spectrum - gotta see how it does on Steam Deck before I buy.

Ran well for me last night on pc. 9800x3d, 5080, 32gb ddr5 6000. All settings at high with balanced DLSS had me between 90 and 120, which is what i limited frame rate to. Could possibly run a little higher fps without a frame late limit or lower settings. I did M1-M5 and 1 or 2 matches online.

We are so back from a gameplay prospective. Planes feel heavy but good so far.

The co-op against the CPU is pretty fun. =)
The memories of Ace Combat Infinity on PS3 are coming back.

I want to complete Ace Combat Zero again first, before getting into the AC8 story.

About five or six missions into the campaign and thoroughly enjoying it.
Playing it on a PS5 pro and it looks gorgeous, the replays are stunning to look at.

The planes feel a bit weigthier than in previous AC games, from what I remember.
But maybe that's just the F/A-18 or that I haven't unlocked enough upgrades yet, for the moment haven't flown any other aircraft either.

Sound design has also got an upgrade it seems, aircraft sounds are louder and explosions sound much beefier from what I recall from previous installments.

Pre-ordered it for PS5 (mainly for the Ace Combat Zero bonus), and have been playing it a lot the past couple days. On the last few missions and it has been amazing so far. Definitely in my top 3 Ace Combat games, right behind 04 and Zero.

Finished this over the weekend. Really good, really enjoyed the story and I'm ready for multiple runs and spending quite a bit of time in the online. Really good, PA knocked it out of the park as usual

From what I have seen, this might be THE longest story of the franchise (if we ignore the Visual Novel-esque AC3 Electrosphere with its branching paths).

Speaking of pasts ACs, not gonna spoil anything for those that haven't played but BOY did they put a hell of a tease at the end. Ever since the trailers, there was always a question of how a certain company was gonna be handled in this universe and it already feels ominous.

def. feels like one of the longer games in the series, in a good way. really good stuff, really glad the series is seemingly gaining more popularity

I'll definitely be buying this at some point. It's pretty cool to see a city in it that looks like Toronto.

Manabu Shimomoto, the producer of Ace Combat 8 introduces the game on the Digimon Official Channel. Terriermon Assistant plays the game and asks if this means that there's a chance to appear in the game. Shimomoto laughs that he needs to discuss this with the dev team.
I would love to see Scourge Chiropmon being piloted by Terriermon in Ace Combat 8. =)
Can be an electronic warfare jet with ESM, and cruise missiles and bombs as unlockable special weapons.
