So, ill start off the list of cars that can be made into a fairly decent GT car, as used in the ACO and the FIA

Ferrari 458 Italia- Ferrari 458 GTC
Corvette C6 Z06/ZR1- Corvette C6.R
Ferrari F430 Scuderia- Ferrari F430 GTC

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/ - Place to find stats. Thanks Matthewjohnson

Ideas? Suggestions? Post them here.

So, I was quite bored after watching the 12 Hours of Sebring, (Im only now getting round to posting it) so i decided that I wanted to try out that new 458 Race car myself. Wait... they don't have it on GT5

....or do they?

Went to the Ferrari Dealer, bought a 458 in Rosso Scuderia. Bought every upgrade. Went into power limiter, set the right power. Ballast, pump that up a bit, make it the real weight. Make 7th gear uselessly High (The racer is only a 6-speed). Get the body upgrades, and Ta-da!

It's a very smooth car, and very easy to handle. You can stick it to a Super GT SC430 if you're lucky.

Has anyone done this with the other cars in the FIA GT series? Like I'm pretty sure the Corvette's would be easy- Theres a Race mod option. But how about the GT4 Mustang and M3? GT1 Ford GT and Lamborghini? Post your stories here.

I didn't do it but this thread inspired me to imitate it with another FIA-homologated car! :D

The 458 Italia GT that races at Sebring (ALMS) is under ACO regulations, not FIA GT.

We have two FIA online racing series in the online Sub-Forum. I'm in the GT3 series hosted by Tier 2 racing and the GT1/2 series which has the 458 is hosted by Jav. I love running my GT3 spec 430 Scuderia.

Tried to do one of these....

Team Black Falcon SLS.

Edit: Sorry, this was in the Dubai 24hrs. Not sure if it was at Sebring 12hrs.

I've imitated the Ferrari GTs that I see in Le Mans all the time, so I added aerokits to the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. It handled badly when I tuned it so I just got rid of it. :ouch:

I've done this :-) I've got 2 Murcielago a Gallardo, 458, 430, F1, MP4-12C athe 2 Corvettes, TVR and maybe others which slip my mind right now that I've modded fully then used the engine restrictor and ballast to set them to the right specs for their relevant championship. used www.ultimatecarpage.com for the specs. Great fun

Can you guys post the parts and tunes that you're adding? I'd like to try this

And also how are you dealing with torque since most of the cars don't have those numbers

Probably best to move this to the tuning section BTW.
I wonder if we could get the guy that did the BMW M3 GTS tune in on this...

I've got a GT-1 championship that starts this Saturday. Draft is on Wednesday. All the info can be found here. Check it out. Lot's of GT style cars are eligible and you can tune them the way you want to get to the 560PP. Not a whole lot of spots left but if you want to do all 4 races it will bump out a reserve driver.

I'm trying to get together a guide on how to do GT4 spec cars if anyone is interested.

That will be wonderful. Are you going to post it on this thread, or on a new thread?

I'll see. Just researching specs of cars at the moment. I'll post it in my garage probably.

Just about to say this, I run in that league. Amazing league, so much fun 👍

Shall we compile a list of cars that this is possible with?
It would also be cool to get the RUF up to Porsche 997 specs...
I checked and the BMW is too heavy to turn into a BMW M3 E92. :(

Yeah, thats why I think the M3 Would run better at the Gt4 level, with an adjusted power to fit the power to weight ratio. Ill re-title this and if you can post on my wall or make posts on this ill put the list in the OP

The Z4 can't hit enough power, even with full mods to be the same as the GT3 version

Guys, I thought about a way of stablishing real life GT racers clones for GT5 in an interesting fashion.

It's on a similar thread to this I created not long ago, here's the exact post.

Happy Grand Touring racing!
