Activating the clutch? (G25)

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to enable the clutch i was told to press the top button on the shifter (the one that resembles to the triangle button), I tryed that but it didnt work just curious if theres a certain point to when i press the button or if im just completely wrong.

Just before race starts,countdown 3,2,1.

make sure its a car that actually has H shifter in it. The GTR for instance, wont allow the clutch because it uses the paddle shifter.

thanks alot, I was pressing it when the race grid was loading up and the part where you choose the race you want to do. Again thanks hopefully this will give me a better chance of mastering the drift with the wheel

No, when the G25 unit is in sequential mode the paddles are also enabled and the clutch disabled.
