Yeah so i'm having the same problem. I don't yet have a wheel...absolutely hate everything about Nascar...and want nothing to do with spending another 100 tries with this challenge...
Does anyone know if you can revert back on game updates? Meaning, if I delete the game data (not the game save) from the xmb...load GT5 without being logged into the PSN...so that then the game is being drawn from version 1.00...will my game save still function? I am a little afraid to try it as i don't want it to cause any serious problems with not accepting my game save anymore. This seems like an easy way to get back to when you could turn ABS completely off though, which apparently lets you walk away with this 100% ridiculous challenge.
I get that that is cheating, and I simply don't care. Thousands of people went through these challenges by turning ABS and therefor ASM off. Its simply not worth it when ASM is forced like that.
I knew 3 years ago when they first showed Nascar in GT5 trailers that some how it would be the only annoying thing in the entire game...
