Do you think we'll get it? Would you use it?
This is all I found on the net, it's from a special New York Auto Show GT4 demo:

I don't see the point to be honest. I would never use it or refer to it.

Give me a rev counter and I'm good to race.

I like to look at such things once in a while, it makes me understand the physics engine of the game as well as the car itself and its setup better. Also, it helps analysing certain driving situations and may give clues on how to improve. I still wouldn't say that we need telemetry however...

I'm sure some driving nerds would love it, but personally, I think that level of analysis and telemetry is wasted on 99.99% of gamers, so why bother with it? Sure, it looks fancy, but then so does my Fondu Set, but that only ever comes out once a year, if that.

I'd want one. I certainly use any telemetry info to help me see where I did something wrong. It also would be a quick implementation. They already have all these things being calculated. All they need it a GUI to represent the numbers visually. It can easily be done by 1 or 2 people at max, so I don't see it as a waste.

Would be cool to compare telemetry data for your lap and fastest laps instead of downloading ghost replays to visually see where you need to improve.

It would come in handy if you know well about car setup. In Fm3, I use it to change tire pressure and suspension setting but not enough to care if it will be in GT5 or not.

I agree, I have it in FM3, but I never use it. Just looking at it wont improve my driving. I need to look at split times and Rev/MPH meters. Thats all I need.

What this would be useful for for example is to examine whether your suspension bottoms out on the bigger bumps. Therefore, it may give useful hints for a good setup.

That shows the Toyota Motor Triathlon car. Its electric and show what each wheel/motor is doing. So we probably won't get that in GT5 except on the car.

I remember an interview with some spanish interviewer,
where some new feature was discussed...
Something about "how well you use your tires"
It was pretty interesting, and a lot more useful than what i see here.

👍 Best thing you ever wrote! I am still laughing at this since you posted it!

And yes True. FM3 has it, It look cool for few minutes then I never used it.

I use the real time telemetry data in FM3 a fair amount for tunes, which is really all it's good for.

I would love it in GT5.

I used the one in FM2 and FM3 a lot, so yes, I would love and use one in GT5.

rev counter, speed, throttle, braking and G force are all there at the moment so that will do for me
