i dont think he actually owns it. i think it is more of a mock initial d tofou racer.
and therre are fake cars in gt3. all of the lm cars are fake.
i will try out tuning the ae86 and miata later today. i remembered that with one of the older miatas, you can turbo it. this might provide for a better peak power than the 1.8ls model. also, why not doing other mods? the ss obviously has improved brakes and suspension, and lightening, why not do that to a miata also?

So, lets compare the Sprinter Trueno to the MX-5 Miata Soft Top.
I looked at the files for both of these cars in MK's and found some things that you wouldnt know without MK's.
The Miata has 0.19 downforce for the front and 0.26 downforce for the rear.
The value for Grip (higher is better) is 75 front and rear.
The Trueno has 0.15 downforce on the front and 0.21 downforce for the rear.
It grip rating is 90 for the front and 78 for the rear.
Thats the info, come to whatever conclusion you want to.
I would rather have grip than downforce because DF slows you down at high speed and doesnt do anything at VERY low speeds. The grip is more useful because it is useful at low speeds and doesnt slow you down.
I still like the Miata better, and I can go faster than a stock Trueno in a stock Miata.

i dont know what to think of that information, because i dont understand it.
the easiest way to improve grip on a car is to use upgraded tires. the difference they make would probably make whatever you are saying irrelevent.
that said, i dont know what that is supposed to mean. driving both cars in gt3, i get the impression the miata has much more grip. front and rear.

Actually this car is really his car. Shigeno and the Producer are friends and for some reason he promised Shigeno to take it his car for a day and put it in the game. Shigeno's Trueno, I believe was his first car and the car they based the manga on. Most of his mods follow the manga itself except the AE101 engine Takumi has.
Anyways...my fault on the 20v..I forgot that the Shigeno one is a modded one for a moment. I also confused myself with the 20v version of the corolla GTS here in the United States.
I believe the either car in GT3. I guess they are just two different styled cars.

MK is a garage editor. U use it to edit ur garage if u have a sharkport/Xport.
The miata is more balanced than the trueno cuz both grip ratings for the front and back tires are 75. Since the trueno has 90 in front and 78 in back, it causes oversteer cuz the back has less of a grip rating.
Think of it as having Super Softs in front and Sims in da back. The front would grip really well as the rear would just slide all over the place cuz of grip difference.

The grip also has something to do with weight distribution as well.
MK's is a program to edit GT3. They've taken all of the info and lines of code for each car in GT3 and layed it out in a spreadsheet. It has info that they dont tell you in GT3.

alright, i understand. the grip ratings are fictional, used in the game. (not to say they are not accurate though, just that 90 and 78 are not actual units, of any actual way to describe grip.)
mk seems pretty neat. i might pick up a shark port soon.
you could kind of think of the f/r grip balance as downforce, because downforce also applies to f/r situations. they should both be pretty balanced. if not, you experience too much over or understeer.
i think it is more important to have balanced grip, than more grip. i usually like a car to be biased towards oversteer, but a managable oversteer. if you have too much oversteer, there is no way to deal with it. your driving skill can no longer use an oversteering car as an advantage. the car setup is just slowing you down.
it would be intersting to find out what other things the mk grip ratings are based on, besides downforce and weight distribution. the ae86 is so front biased, it would appear that it is extremely front weight biased also.

Well, these values are the actual values applied to each car by the programmers of GT3. Increasing the grip number by 10 is a very noticeable difference.
