This is one of the coolest/scariest things I've ever seen. I put it here because its not funny, and it doesn't fit anything else.. maybe Music, but here is better. Just click here. Click Play In Reverse > Play. Its the "Stairway to Heaven" song backwards, and forwards if you'd like. This really freaked me out.. Give it a go..

Eh, that doesn't seem too authentic. It could be fixed. There's no word i can find in the normal lyrics that backwards can sound like "satan" or "666".

This story was popular when I was a young teen. It was the early 1980s when that religious network aired an entire show about that one and only song. They called it the most popular song of all time, and it just so happens to have all those "Devil Prayers" in it.

They made a lot of money from that show. I cought it about two years ago, so I guess they reair it from time to time.

This was posted already, but even so, it's hooey. You can't hear it until they put up the subtitles, and then you can.

Exactly. You only think it sounds like those words 'cos that's the words you're looking for.

Is it just me, or did the word Satan sort of sound like it was being spoken by another person?

ITS TRUE!!! 100% true!! play the file forwards and use the sound recorder under programs>accsessories>entertainment and use a mic to record it off of your speakers (best with headphones) and go to effects and reverse it. it's 100% percent true!

heres a wav file i recorded. play it backwards! (must use sound recorder application to play it in reverse. Stairway to Hell

Now i really hate led zeppelin.. that was pretty freaky

why should you hate zeppelin for that? even if it is real i doubt they went through all that trouble to make their lyrics sound like satan and 666 when played backwards...if its true its nothing but a coincidence

I don't think they meant that. Anyway, I wouldn't spend to long listening to it, it can really freaky you out.

I admit that when I first heard it, it was pretty cool, but listening to it 2 years ago with friends camping in pitch black woods after drinking, I really freaked out. It sounds stupid, but I was only 14.

Again... I'm not clicking on it then... Well... it's 5:30a.m. now so maybe I will because I ain going to bed anyways... :irked:

I am a Christian so I try to avoid stuff to do with the Devil, I just don't like it. I still listen to Led Zep though, it's just I don't like listen to it backwards!:p

The Beatles apparently did this a lot. My whacked English teacher demonstrated a couple dozen songs with supposed backward-masked messages, and a lot of the songs were by the Beates. I believe they even had a song sung in German, that when played backwards revealed a message in English.

I suppose it all could be true, though I don't know why anyone would bother masking satanic messages into a song.

I don't listen to it backwards because I'm not an idle minded fool.

That's the exact opposite reason of why he doesn't listen to it.

The only words I could make out were Satan, then I read along with the lyrics and I could hear it. Meh.
