Someone backed into me. Luckily, they're going to cover it. Still... ARGH!:grumpy:

Nissan 350Z.

I'm sorry to hear that happened. It's a real shame people do that, even more so when you don't even get to know who done it...

It could be worse. If a Hummer had backed into it (I mean, you really can't see out of those things), you'd be replacing more than just a cosmetic bumper.

It doesnt look THAT bad.
I mean, its only a few scrapes, probably you could just paint it.
Nice car.
Sorry though.

Come on champ, it does look that bad!!!

I hate leaving my car parked outside or in a car park for this reason. I'm a bloody magnet for idiots that don't know how to drive. I've come back to my car before and found a huge dent in the driver side door (well I think it was huge, the missus tends to disagree and say it's a minor dent), but when it's your pride and joy, the smallest things can seem much worse.

I was fuming at the time. Mind you it is an old car so parts are hard to come by and well repairs are never as good.

Anyway, Sorry to hear about it, hope you get it fixed relatively problem free. My suggestion is to report it to the police, and then go into your insurance company and talk to them. If they are reasonable, they might even fix it without charging an excess (well mine did anyway, but I do pay a bucket load for my insurance and it covers me for other things as well like certain classics race events etc etc).

Syntax error

Don't bother. If it was in a parking lot they won't hear it.

Not in a parking lot, someone backed into me on the street. Too complicated to explain, I gotta get back to the Stanley Cup in a sec :D.

And of course it sucks, it's my new Z I got last week and it's already got this :(

It's a 2005, BTW.

*chuckle* reminds me of the little bit of damage I sustained when I got tapped by a Camry, bumperwise, in 03. the girl driving the brand new 03 snapped her front fascia down, broke out her grill, and cracked the bumper cover so bad, that I think they had to replace the front clip. i got ONE little scrape on a 91 COMPACT...she slid under my bumper :P

still, on a brand new car. some jackoff wasn't paying attention, huh?

Ouch, seen similar stuff happen way too many times...

But, look on the bright side... Nismo bumper time!
