I'll be spending my week at Grand Valley for racing. I started in the McLaren and set a base time. Which was destroyed when I switched to the Ford GT Race car. So, I'm in that for the week. My current quick time is 1:50.8XX which was top 3,000 when I logged off earlier tonight.
My first race has me in P2. Someone said hello to me in the pre-race chat, and if it was someone from here, I didn't see it as my phone had my attention. Anyway, the race starts and I stay in P2, even with an off track penalty on lap 2 at some point. I go way deep in turn 1 that allows P3 to catch up. I get another off track and fall to P3 after serving it. On the final set of corners, P1 bins it and I just don't have enough power to pass for the lead and finish P2.
Race 2 starts well enough with me in P2 to start. I fall a bit in the order and am in the mid-pack. I chop the nose of a car and I effectively PIT maneuver myself and I cannot get going again due to dirty tires. All my fault after watching the replay. I finish P14.
Race 3 is much of the same, but this time I'm on the loud pedal too quick in the twisty section and go for a wild ride. I haven't done that in all of my practice laps so a note not to do that in the future. I finish P12 as I didn't want to push my bad luck further.
So, not the best start to the day. There has been a nice variety of cars in the B lobbies with not everyone in the McLaren. It makes for some good racing.
