Simple question really do we have the option to see what sort of level the AI cars in a given event will be at? It GT4 we had the 'Preview' option which gave us a basic idea of the cars we would be up against but I'm yet to find a similar option this time around

I've seen a couple of people mention this but have no idea where to find it.

After you pick an event, but the screen before starting the race the box in the mid right screen has the requirements, to the left of that is the box with typical cars you be racing. Good luck.

Either I'm completely blind or this is something that is only active in the later championships. I'm still only in the early stages of the game and I can't see it anywhere. :dunce:

I can see the entry requirements no problem but no sign of the likely opposition

It's a button you click to bring up a window that shows you the cars you're likely to face. It's beside the icon with the wheels stacked up.

Is it possible that this is something that only became active with the first day patch? My current situation doesn't allow me to have my PS3 online and as such I'm simply playing the game as it was out of the box.

On the screen I have the 'Entry Requirements' button which I can press but next to that where I think the AI information should be all I get is the word 'Unrestricted' and no button

Just checked it there myself to make sure. Beside where it says Unrestricted, there should be two buttons. The first is a square one with a car icon and the second is a rectangular button with a notebook icon. The square button will show you what cars to expect in the event.

It should be there. My game is updated though so maybe it was added in that.

I think it came with the update. I was playing without the patch for a few days and I decided to go online and update. When I started up the game, I noticed the button that everyone else is mentioning there.

Really bad news for me then.

I've checked everywhere and it's definitely not there so I guess it's back to the old trial and error option for me.

Really disappointed that something like this had to come with the patch and wasn't there before.

Could you perhaps download the update on your PC/Mac and then update it manually? Not sure if it's possible, but worth a search or two. Good luck.

It can't be done unfortunately. I have hoped for that in the past with other games but apparantly it's not an option.

It is possible to download firmware updates from Sony and install them via USB but not for individual game updates.
