AI not pitting in enduro

I'm racing the Tokyo R 246 enduro and while driving a corvette c5r with 690 HP with super slick tires (the supposidly longest lasting) I've had to pit twice so far (in 24 laps), two of the AI's pit every 7th and 8th lap respectivly, but one other NSX and the two Skylines havn't pitted yet! Has anyone else encountered this? 👎 Oh, and they don't seem to be loosing speed either. When one of the two NSXs that actually pit (or me) isn't in the lead the remaining NSX is, and he stays pretty constant distance from me.. :scared:

Edit: They finally pitted on the end of lap 31... the Corvette only weights 39 pounds more than the Skylines. Thats some extrememly shortended tire wear for just 39 more pounds. If the Skylines are as you win them they have less HP than my Corvette does now, but, I don't think that like 200 HP and 39 pounds would make the same tire wear down 21 laps earlier... :grumpy:

What I think your problem is, realtes not to the AI, but to your car. The AI seem to drive with an emphasis on tire wear management. Yes, with considerate braking, and acceleration, as well as lighter cornering, you can make a set of tires last 30 laps.

The Vette is known to be very hard on front tires (They did wear out first, right?). Plus add in that you're likely pushing the car very hard. WHich means, you'll benefit with better laptimes, but worse tire wear. IT's a hard line to toe.

SO you're right on track, and should do fine.

Mmm,pretty weird. Is the C5R the only car you want to drive in Tokyo.I should say that you try to use another car because I don't have this problem, the skylines and NSX pit between lap 5-15 but after lap 24 that's pretty strange.I use most of the enduros the denso or castrol supra. They have a very handling and they have very good tires, try to put Super hard tires on the supra and you will hold your tires for about 30 or more laps,I think.

Let's hope you can find a way to win this race.

Raise your ride hight and soften your springs, made a set of T5s on a F094/S last 12 laps on Midfield so I know what I'm talking about here. Also, are you running any camber or toe? Those have been known to cause pit stops.

Last time I ran this enduro I used a Loctite Skyline fitted with T2 tyres and only an oil change. I changed tyres every 25 laps (3 pit stops) and probably could have done a couple more. Two Skylines were driven by the A1 drivers and entered by teams Penzoil and a second Loctite entry.
Team Penzoil pitted every 24 laps meaning 4 stops, the last on lap 96. (Pretty bad planning by the A1). The A1 Loctite pitted every 30 laps meaning 3 stops and only 10 laps on the new rubber at the end.
So yes it is not uncommon to see the AI run these pit scedules.
My margin over the 2 AI Skylines was + 1 lap and race time was 166:52.414.

I haven't done any enduros yet. Can you save the game in the middle or do you have do it in one sitting??

166 minutes in one sitting is more time than I ever have (impressive tho - nice one!)

you can't save, which I find annoying, but you can always pause it and walk away for a bit. I know once I did one really late at night and was falling asleep halfway through so I paused, went to bed, and finished when I got up hah.
