AI Skill Gap

So has anyone else noticed a considerable gap between the apparent skills the AI demonstrates in the 'lower level' races like FF Challenge, the GT Nationals, the Convertible Cup, etc. and the 'higher level' ones, like Tuned N/A Cup, GT All-Stars, and the Europacific/Pacific GT races??

It's like a whole different animal at the higher levels! I've frequently seen the AI cars pile up & go off the road at Laguna Seca, for example, in some of the Cup & Challenge races, but later on it's more like the computer has been secretly practicing or something...The other cars take corners at what appear to be impossible speeds, simply nudge past you if you're in their racing line, and don't seem as likely to go off-road.

Am I just imagining this?

This is because in the low skill level FF challenge, they give you a chance, hence the LOW skill level of you-no offence there mate-when you are at the beginning of GT2, and in the HIGH skill level races, the advanced ones, the cars have a high skill level.

Remember, the CPU cars in FF rce are newbies as well, cause if all the computer cars were so advanced, there would be no FF challenge 4 newbies to get the hang of GT2.
PS when they try to nudge past u, block their racing line by getting in front of the car. Use the mirror view, and get the cars right in behind you.

None taken :D I know what you're saying!

And thanks for the tip, too. This is something I've just gotten to the point I can do now.

I pretty much figured it was something like this, just wanted to see if others noticed the same. You know how it goes.
Especially on here, with most of the major players being highly skilled it's a little daunting, to say the least
