Great practice, no incidents of course, pace laps went perfectly and all are having fun. The season will begin the 4th. We will not be dropping a race at this point but can open the topic up for discussion as we get into the season. Thanks for showing up and running practice tonight.

Wow, didn't realize there was so much action going on up ahead. Now I know where those skids marks came from!

Yea it was pretty funny how JT and I spun at the exact same time. That grass is slippery. Fun race though

You two should be on "So You Think You Can Dance" together, wonderfull choreography. :lol:

This is a fun track to drive, but I'll be glad when Friday is over and we get to a real race track. 👍

Veteran Drivers, please read the sign up sheet to view new drivers. toyotsupra and supersnake have been on with us here and there and race clean. tony kart has yet to run with anyone as he was waiting for a spot to open up. He has been added as Dangit is not going to make the races this time around unfortunately. He has also been made aware of the expectations. DJ is signed in with GT500 class as he wants to drive a Sexy Beast around when he can make it.

If any of you want to switch classes please PM each other to figure out a switch or ask in this thread.

Hey JT, snake is going to be in the Subaru CUSCO SUBARU ADVAN IMPREZA '03, not the '08 model.

BTW: I got my Fanatec stuff today and have just now got it working after a 6hr ordeal. I thought I was going to have to send it all back. Everything worked perfectly in F1 2011 and rfactor on my PC, but it wouldn't work at all on the PS3. I had threads posted on two forums asking for help and tried everything I could think of to no avail. Finally I stumbled on an OLD thread on gtplanet that cleared it all up and I just now got it working. It turned out to be a very simple mistake, I was pushing the wrong buttons to put it in PS3 mode, I felt pretty stupid, but to be fair, the Fanatec manual had the buttons mislabled on the pic. Hopefully I'll be able to get it setup so I can drive halfway decently with it by tomorrow night. 👍

Those clubsport pedals are a work of art.... if they ever quit, I'm gonna hang them on the wall. :)
 
Wow..... this new wheel/pedals take some getting used to. There are so many settings that it's going to take some time to get everything right. So far I'm not as quick as with my old wheel, but I've only ran a few laps, I'm getting closer, but still about .4 to go. :nervous:

I would like to try a wheel but the prices up here are a bit ridiculous
It's $170 for the DFGT alone!!:irked:
the stand is an extra $170 plus tax, plus shipping :irked::grumpy:

or I could spend around $300 for the Ferrari wheel and stand...not to sure how this one works, a few good reviews but the price is steep :yuck:

I just hope I can make it to the race tonight, I still cannot get out of my prior commitments tonight, actually Thought the race was last night!!:sick::guilty:
 
I don't know how it is in Canada, but here you can pick up a DFGT for a little over $100. I built my own stand out of PVC for around $20. I've seen a lot of DFGT's for around $70 used.

I know you Americans have it easy, right now there are no used steering wheels available in the province of Alberta! There is 9 new DFGT's for me to buy that I would only have to drive about 30 mins one way to get!! :drool::sly:
Just have to convince the wife we can afford this and maybe a wheel stand :sly:
