[FONT="Calibri, Arial"]As I approach one of my milestone goals of 100% garage, I felt it only right to give back to the community. So, through the generosity of ch1potle, we are giving you access to everything in the game.

Only one catch, my advancing age prevents me from just giving stuff away (When I was your age...), so I am going to make you work a little. And so by popular demand (OK, fine, one other member thought it was a good idea.). The AJNS73 Movie Quote Giveaway Thread (Sponsored by Ch1potle's AutoMall™) *fanfare*

Stay tuned in the coming days as I post movie quotes in this thread. Some will be easy. Some will be obscure. All will be memorable. The first to guess the the correct movie will earn 1 credit for anything from my collection (1 credit = 1car/ticket, 5 paints, 5 MCs, 1 set of gear) or Ch1potle's. Please guess ONLY the movie first. Replies coming in one minute apart will be deemed a tie. Ties will be broken by providing the most context (ex. - character's name, actor's name, to whom it was said, that actor's name, scene description, director, year, and on ad nauseum. All context answer will be handled backchannel, so no blurting. First one to be unable to match the other for an answer loses out. All decisions on winners/losers made by me and final. Please, no sniping in my thread.

Any idiot can search Google. Everyone is on their honor to pull their guesses and tiebreaker information from their internal computer (the one inside your skull), not the magic of the Internet (Despite how hard Al Gore worked on creating it).

QUOTES START TOMORROW! Good Luck!

We see a deadly sin on every street corner, in every home, and we tolerate it. We tolerate it because it's common, it's trivial. We tolerate it morning, noon, and night. Well, not anymore. I'm setting the example. What I've done is going to be puzzled over and studied and followed... forever." (John Doe to Dets. Somerset and Mills in Se7en.) Winner DurWinning

5/29/2012 -- "I strenuously object? Is that how it works? Objection. Overruled. No, no, no, no, I strenuously object. Oh, well if you strenuously object, let me take a moment to reconsider. You got it in the jury's head that we're afraid of the doctor. You object once so they can hear you say he's not a criminologist. You keep after it and it looks like our great cross was just a bunch of fancy lawyer tricks. It's the difference between paper law and trial law. Christ, you even had the Judge saying Stone was an expert!" (Sam Weinberg to Joanne Galloway after examination of Dr. Stone) Winner Pottert

5/29/2012 -- "We always called each other good fellas. You'd say to somebody: 'You'll like this guy. He's all right. He's a good fella, one of us. Understand?' We were good fellas. Wiseguys." (Henry Hill [Ray Liotta] in narration of Goodfellas.) Winner Pottert

6/5/2012 -- "Somebody once wrote: 'Hell is the impossibility of reason'. That's what this place feels like - hell."(Chris Taylor [Charlie Sheen] in narration from Platoon)
"Elias is a water-walker. Like them politicians in Washington trying to fight this war with one hand tied around their balls." (Barnes to his bunkmates in camp after the shooting in the ville from Platoon.) Winner Kyy357

6/5/2012 -- "Uh, senator -- you can have my answer now if you like. My offer is this -- nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license, which I would appreciate if you would put up personally. "
"I know it was you, FREDO -- you broke my heart -- you broke my heart!" Winner DurWinning

Now this was a tough one since you left out a bunch of words, but I'm going to say Lt. Archie Hicox in Inglorious Bastards:

[picks up his glass of scotch] There's a special rung in hell reserved for people who waste good scotch. Seeing as how I may be rapping on the door momentarily...

Yeah, just trying to be funny :dopey:

Great movie. Great Quote. And if That was my first quote, I would probably say to you, "Sì, correcto." Hopefully, you will do as well with the real thing. :)

First quote is up. Post only the movie title as your guess. Tiebreakers will be decided separately from the thread.

i'm guessing seven i think that was the name of the movie

The only guess and the correct one. The John Doe character speaks this line to Detectives Mills and Somerset. One credit for you my, friend. Let me know what you want, and I will get it on my schedule ASAP. Congratulations!

Nice magic trees, over the first "Corpse" the detectives stumble across.
And Paltrow in a Box too.

i have no idea quick question though where in the hell do you get these quotes

The same place I ask each of you to get the answers. I have a peculiar ability to remember movie dialogue. There are a couple of other members out there with the same ability. We throw quotes back and forth and that is where the idea for this thread came from.

While you are incorrect, this post wins the Gold Medal in the "Most Interesting Ways to Bump a Thread" category. :)

I think this thread is officially on life support. CLEAR!

I really thought this would do better. Come on people!

Perhaps the structure is confusing? Any suggestions (Besides changing the thread title to "Nude Women & Free Beer.")?

Maybe start off with much easier quotes until it builds some steam. Also let it be known that everything is available to win. I'm happy to provide any prizes that I can.

You could try easier quotes, yes.

PS. I've known the answer for days but had to use google so didn't bother to post it.

Eesh...ok. Easier it is. I don't mind you helping out, but do you really want your schedule clogged with requests from my thread? Chances are they are going to want something from your complete collection rather than my incomplete. Besides, if you give it to them, I'm not really giving back...or AM I? (read that last as Dr. Evil please)

My schedule is running out and you already know how I feel about not sending each day - the system is winning if I don't send out the minimum each day. I require nothing but something to do :dunce:

the answer to the second qoute was in a movie that played last night.. featuring quite a few leading men and "woman".

You seem to be correct. Can I get a title?

Changed the quote. I am working on a revised thread title.
