Fun web game in which this genie asks you questions to try and guess a character you are thinking of.

It's surprisingly good and quite fun to try and think of someone it doesn't know. You need to know a bit about the character in order to answer the questions correctly which can be a bit difficult with fictional characters, but it can still usually work it out eventually.

It has me quite amazed but I'm easily amused, hopefully some others here can have fun with this while wasting time.
 
He's the scariest thing on the Internet, seriously!! :scared::nervous:

I thought of Bartimaeus from the book trilogy, it's quite famous but most of the questions had no direct connection with him... Until he asked whether he was a demon? And after the question whether the character was funny, he guessed correctly. :bowdown: How is that AI so good??

Bloody hell he actually guessed mine. Same person as my avatar was who I was thinking of.

I beat it the first time I tried. And I just beat it again with the same person. Short memory. Clearly does not care to remember important people in the history of flying wings.
 
Guessed Vin Diesel first time, but it did take quite a few questions (25+)... the two final ones were "Is he bald", and "is he to do with cars"...

Time to give it a challenge :D

edit: Went for Mr Happy from the Mr. Men, it guessed... Mr Bump... close, but no banana..

edit 2: Blimey, it got Ulysses from Ulysses 31 in 15 guesses, and Mr Blonde in about 16!, took about 32 questions and two guesses to get Tequila Yeun from Hard boiled... 26 questions to get Mr Gumby from Monty Python, although it had gotten to MP after about 14 guesses.


It's mildly fun... I cam up with a character from a C64 computer game it didn't get.

It also guessed first time David Cameron and Tokugawa Ieyasu.

If you look at game report it shows how your responses match what it expects from that guess. It is a bit wrong sometimes though.

Stumped it on battleship Yamato. Mostly I think because I had no clue what to answer to some of the questions.

Has your character served on a ship? Erm it was a ship.

That's cheating.

Not bad. Given the parsers, it made the guess sooner than I thought, though it did ask two very similar questions.

I added Jordan to the list when Akinator refused to guess him... ;) I thought he deserves fame. :)
 
Also stumped it on Shinzo Abe. Gave me every Japanese politician plus the Emperor but not him.
 
Do any of you know a video game character who is black, uses guns, steals cars, has a dog and always walks barefoot? Yes, this thing actually asked the bolded part, and only after that did he get the answer right (Franklin Clinton, from GTA V). However, that one question really threw me off for a second. :P
 
Didn't get Ben Spies, although the eventual guess was Kevin Schwantz....
Question #69 was "Does your character actually exist?" :)

Probably would get Ben Spies now because it asked me who it was.
 
Jonathan Harker (Dracula) beat it (80+ guesses)

It got Leloo from 5th Element in like 25 guesses.
Clarence Thomas in like 37 (2nd try)
Ayn Rand in 27
Kathleen Kelly (You've Got Mail) in 15
Riddick in ~20
Pepper Potts ~15

Edit:

It got very close with Harker. Guessed all around - Renfield, and it kept wanting me to say he was a Doctor so it could guess Dr. Jack.

He just very quickly guessed Girolamo Savonarola (the real guy, not the AC II version of him). If Akinator was human, he sure would be considered a genius! :D
 
35 questions to guess Barret Wallace. I knew it had it when if asked "Is your character from the Final Fantasy series."

And to round out the other side of the one I did previously, it took 21 to guess "A hole with hair." Its phrase, not mine! :lol:
 
Oh my god he got Larry Foulke.

It started asking very specific questions relating to his part in the story.

This is the greatest thing ever.
 
It can guess some pretty obscure video game characters in just over 20. It greatly impresses me, although it did guess the series eventually.
 
Carlos Ruiz Zafón (my favourite writer) was in 23... I am amazed
